Chapter 46

Zoya nervously called Grace and she answered sleepy, "Hey babes... It's middle of the night... you should know that..." she said between her yawns. "I'm sorry... I know... But this can't wait till morning..." Zoya said in hurry.

"What's the hurry, babes?" She asked. "Gracie... I'm pregnant... I tested thrice and all three showed positive..." Zoya said and Grace was fully awakened with shock. "What do you mean you're... pregnant?" She exclaimed but whispering the word pregnant. "What? Pregnant means pregnant... what else you expect?" Zoya asked in confusion.

"I mean... how could you be pregnant? I mean... Don't you guys use protection... when you did it?" she asked. "Gracie... Don't be stupid... We're married... Why on earth we should use protection?" Grace asked, "Don't you think it's too early for you have baby?" Zoya said, "Well... Aditya wanted to have a baby with me... and at that moment we didn't think about protection..." Zoya said shyly. "Woah... Don't tell me that you guys jumped right away at each other..." Grace asked.

"Gracie... What's your problem now? I didn't call you to ask advice about how should lead my sex life!" Zoya said. Grace clicked her tongue and said, "So, yeah, I get it... You guys jumped right away without thinking about the consequences..." Grace said. Zoya lost her calm and said, "Gracie... We both love each other and we made love without using protection. I know what does that mean and Aditya wanted to have children with me and settle down. What is the problem in that?"

"What about you, Zoya... Do you also want a baby?" Grace asked. Zoya sighed and said, "At first... I didn't think about it but later... Yes... I wanted not just one baby, I want to have a boy and a girl with Aditya and I wanted to grow old with him and our children..."

Grace sighed and asked, "Okay... If you're so clear then why did you call me?" Zoya then told her about her conversation with Harshawardhan and what he said and then she added, "I don't know I'm scared to die after knowing that I'm pregnant... I don't want to lose my baby too... I can't tell Aditya about my pregnancy before I do something about Harshawardhan for good... I don't know..." she sighed and said, "How to manage this situation?"

Grace said, "I'm so sorry, Zoya... When you needed me the most I'm stuck here in Canada... Why did I even come here without helping you finish what you started? I shouldn't have come here... With everything going on there with you, I should have been there taking care of you..."

"Hey... Babes... Don't beat yourself... I'm happy that you're away from here... With everything going on here, Harshawardhan wouldn't hesitate to do something to you... I think it's for better that you moved there... You know what, I'll talk to Arshad and I'll find a way to sort this... I'm going to take care of this... Okay... You don't worry... I'll keep you updated..." Zoya said and they said their goodbyes before disconnecting. Zoya felt stupid for calling Grace and made her feel helpless, she very well know that Grace will be worried for her now. 

With so much pressure, she felt that she should take care of her health for keeping her baby healthy. She put her hand on her tummy and said, "Mumma is going to take good care of you... because your Papa loves you and he can't stand if something happens to you... So, please stay strong for Mumma and Papa..."

"Hey Baby... With whom you're talking to?" Aditya asked. Zoya turned to look at him baffled and said, "Uh... um... Grace..." She lied. "At this hour... It's middle of the night there..." He said. "Yea... She just needed some girl advice..." Zoya brushed him off. He smiled and said, "Can't argue then..." with that he went to the closet to change and Zoya sighed before disposing her pregnant kits out of his sight.

Zoya asked Arshad to meet her on their usual spot. Zoya hurried to the coffee shop, after Aditya left to office, to meet Arshad. It's been two weeks since her one on one with Harshawardhan. She had to keep a close watch on Harshawardhan's every move since then. She didn't want him to talk to Aditya about anything before she deals with him.
