Chapter 16

It has been 1 week after Aditya's marriage was decided by his father. Zoya has reported back to Bandra office. But Aditya was still at Andheri office. In these 5 days, Aditya and Zoya have got more familiar with each other. They have been texting each other time to time.

Grace entered the apartment and when she saw Zoya with her phone, she asked, "Zoya, what is this? I have never seen you spending time with your mobile ever before".

Zoya immediately hide her mobile behind her and said, "Nothing... Prateek... was texting me... for some clarifications..." Grace looked at her in disbelief but said, "I have some news for you, Zoya".

"What?" Zoya asked casually while checking the boxes for some snacks to eat. "Arjun told me, that Aditya is getting married in February... Date is fixed... Do you know that?" Grace said and asked when she saw Zoya's shocking expression, "Didn't Aditya "your friend" tell you?" quoting in the air while saying your friend.

Zoya dropped her snack and looked at Grace petrified, "What do you... mean...?" Zoya asked. "Zoya... Arjun told me, everything about you and Aditya... What is happening here, Zoya? You didn't tell that you're have befriended him... He has compared you with his girl friend, Pooja and he has been telling his father that he doesn't want to marry her... and... He is saying that he doesn't love Pooja... What the heck is happening?" Grace asked.

Zoya sighed but didn't open her mouth. Grace asked, "What are you planning now, Zoya?" Zoya drank water slowly while Grace was looking at her every movement. Zoya understood without replying to Grace, she can't move from that place. Zoya sat on the couch and tapped next to her. Grace joined her.

"Gracy, I'm sorry... I should have told you before about Aditya... But, I thought you'll think that I'm deceiving Aditya to get to Harshawardhan", Zoya said. "Definitely... I know you're deceiving, Aditya to get to his father. You won't do anything unless it had to do something with your plan to get to them", Grace said.

"God Grace, this is why I didn't tell you... Seriously, there is no plan behind this or I'm not deceiving Aditya", Zoya said in high tone. "You... Seriously don't have any plan behind this... And you want me to believe this... Then tell me, all of a sudden, how on earth, you changed your mind about Aditya?" Grace asked.

"Well... to be frank... You remember that accident and Aditya helped that old man..." Grace nodded, "Since then, I had an impression that Aditya was a good person and not like his father... But, I don't want to believe it because he is Harshawardhan's son... But when I came to know that he has observed all the staff's of Stan's and keeping it from his father... I realized that I made mistake in understanding him. Although, I made friendship with him with an underlying cause to get to his father", Grace glared at her, "But... but... After seeing how his own father treating him, like a shit... I sincerely felt that I should help him and I understood that Aditya is definitely not like his father..." Zoya said.

"So, you're saying that you're friends with Aditya genuinely", Grace asked. "Of course, yes... Harshawardhan was never a good father to his own children... You should have seen, how he was screaming at Aditya? I don't know... how a father will treat his own son like that? And I don't know, why Aditya is putting up with all those non-sense", Zoya said angrily.

Grace relaxed a bit in the couch and lost in thoughts. "Okay, So... What is your plan now?" she asked. "Grace... Seriously as of now, there is no plan... I'm just getting to know about him and as for as whatever I found about him, I kind of like him", Zoya said. Grace studied her. "Hey... I like him... means like him... not what you're thinking... okay", Zoya said while hitting her hand mockingly.

Grace sighed and said, "Oh my god, Zoya... Seriously you just like him... I think you're totally afloat from your plans now, after you started getting to know more about Aditya. I asked you about what are you planning to do about Harshawardhan and Srivastav... Earlier, whenever I ask you, what is your plan? You'll tell me what you have planned and what are you going to do next to get to them... But now..." gestured with her hand as if everything in her mind was blown off.
