Chapter 10

Zoya was buried herself in her work when Aditya came to the department. "Good Morning, Vinod", he greeted Vinod and others in the department. Finally he looked at Zoya who was busy in her laptop. "Huh-Uh... Zoya... Good Morning", Aditya said.

"Hmmm... Good Morning", Zoya replied without looking up. "I think, I have made a good decision by recruiting you", Aditya said with a smile. Zoya looked at her laptop screen petrified as she just then realized Aditya's voice. Zoya shoot up and said, "I... I'm sorry... Mr. Hooda, I didn't... realize... it was you. I... I was... working... on the Taxation".

"It's okay, I like the way you work and your involvement while working. Keep it up. I know we had a very clumsy tax expert and he has made our taxes pretty clumsy and I have made some corrections. I'll share the files with you and you can refer to them or in case you have any doubts, I'll be sitting there", he pointed a table next to Vinod, "you can ask me", he said.

"Okay Mr. Hooda, I'll check those files and let you know", Zoya said and sat down as Aditya moved towards his table. Zoya started to work on the files Aditya sent and compared the numbers. In some of heads she had doubts and as there was no other go she went to Aditya for clarifications.

"Excuse me, Mr. Hooda, I have some queries can you help me with that" she asked him. Aditya looked up at her and "Definitely Zoya, tell me where you have got doubts?" Aditya asked. Zoya explained her doubts and Aditya explained her how he worked on those heads. Just then, he received a call from Pooja.

"Excuse me, Zoya", I'll be back in a minute", he excused himself and went out to receive the call.

"Hey Bum, Good Morning", Aditya said over the phone. "Bum, it's really bad. Now a days you don't call me or spend quality time with me", Pooja whined.

"Bum, you know that I was busy with work and rest of the day I spend my time with Aman. And you're also there with me when I'm with Aman, then why are saying like this", Aditya said with frustration.

"I know that's why I'm saying all this. Previously, we used to hang out alone and you gave all your attention to me. Also, we always have our alone time. But now, you don't spend any more time with me. Either you're in your office or you're with Aman", Pooja fumed.

"Pooja, why are you acting like some typical girlfriend? What happened to you all of a sudden?" Aditya said furiously.

"Why are you behaving as if you don't care about us at all?" Pooja yelled at other side. Aditya got angry even more with her behavior and yelled back, "Shut up, Pooja. I don't know what has gotten into you and you're suddenly behaving like this. I don't want to talk to you now. I'll call you later, bye".

When Aditya turned he bumped in to Zoya. "I... I'm... Sorry..." Zoya stammered and continued, "I didn't mean to... I just... I just came to... check on you... as I heard your raised voice... I'm sorry..."

"Hey... Don't be... Girl friend problem... come on let's carry on with the work", Aditya said casually and walk ahead of her. "Shit..." Zoya thought and slapped herself on her head.

Around lunch Aditya and Zoya has finished their work. "I hope your doubts are cleared to finish your work", Aditya asked her. "Yes, Mr. Hooda. Thank you so much for clarifying my doubts", she said with smile.

When Aditya was about to leave Zoya called him, "Umm... Aditya", he turned towards her perplexed as she called him "Aditya" and not "Mr. Hooda". "I'm sorry, I know shouldn't be involving in your personal matters. But from what I overheard, you shouldn't have spoken to Ms. Pooja like that. I think you should apologies to her".
