Love or Revenge

Chapter 29

It has been a week Srivastav was texting and calling Zoya to get her for lunch date or dinner date. But, Zoya has been avoiding him giving some lame excuses. When Grace asked her about it 4 days back once she was back to normal, Zoya told her, "I don't know, Gracie. When I last met him, for the first time I realized Srivastav is not like Vasudev or Stanley. He is more cunning and manipulative to the core and he is good at playing mind games and for the first time I was scared out of my life. What he said in the parking lot reminded that night when they killed my parents brutally. I became that 10 years little girl, hiding under that table looking at my parents being killed, unable to scream for help. Somehow, he made me relive that night".

"So, that's what made you to reach out for Aditya after the lunch", Grace said exclaimed. "I don't know, honestly Grace, I don't know why or how I landed up in Aditya's office", Zoya said with confusion. "Well, subconsciously you find Aditya being your knight in the armor to save you", Grace said with a chuckle. Zoya glared at Grace but didn't respond. But in her mind, she felt that she safe with Aditya. 

"I don't know but there is something about him and I don't want to do it carelessly. I have to make him fall into my trap entirely before I kill him. He shouldn't be aware of that I'm trapping him", she said. 

After a pause she added, "I'm not going to give him the satisfaction that he wanted. I'm going to make him beg and then I'm going to kill him. I can't let him play his mind games on me, just like that before he did". Grace hugged her and asked her to be careful around Srivastav and Harshawardhan.

All this week, Zoya can tell that she has been behaving weirdly around Aditya. How much ever she tried to keep it to herself, she couldn't control her emotions when she was around him. Grace has been giving her Love Guru thoughts here and there when she finds Zoya lurking around Aditya.

Her stunts didn't go unnoticed Aditya can sense that Zoya is creeping around him whenever they are in the same space. He tried to talk to her about it but she kind of evades his questions and hurried out to check on Grace.

Aditya was sitting at couch and working on his laptop. Zoya stirred in the bed and woke up stretching her body and yawning. "Good Morning, Zoya. Hope you had a nice sleep", Aditya said when he looked at her. She startled and said, "Goo... Good Morning... Aditya... Yeah..." She looked at him. He was still in his pyjamas and she looked around for the time. It was already 10 o'clock.

"What are you... you doing... here?" She asked. "What do you mean what am I doing here? It's my room too..." Aditya said casually. "No... I meant... Why aren't you in office?" She blurted.

"You see when you're CEO of a company, it's kind of benefit that you don't get to go to office daily. You can opt to work from home", he said while reaching his study table to get some files. "Just tell me, why are you asking me so many questions? Even when you worked for me, I haven't come to office for many days", he asked while checking out a file from the pile.

Zoya scratched her head and slipped out of her bed. She headed to bathroom to freshen up to evade his question. Aditya smiled out of corner of his mouth when he saw her slipping to the bathroom silently through his peripheral view.

When she was back out of bathroom, Aditya was nowhere to be seen and Zoya sighed out of relief. After few seconds, Aditya returned with two mugs of coffee and handed one to her and sit back with his laptop. Zoya couldn't take her eyes off of him and she didn't dare to take her eyes off of him while sipping her coffee too.

"Zoya..." Aditya called and Zoya snapped out of her fantasizing. She dropped the hot coffee on her but she thanked god that she didn't spill it on her skin. It's just her night dress got spoiled. Aditya looked at her as she made some noise on spilling the coffee.
