Chapter 4

She stared at Arshad for some time and said, "Yes... I always come here in the night to talk to him. Whenever I need to take some important decisions, he'll be free and easy to talk to him at that hour. Today also, I came here to talk about something important".

"And what was that?" he asked.

"I was leaving SMCA to join Hooda Group of companies", the moment she said, Harsh looked at Aditya and Aditya looked at Harsh and then at Zoya perplexed.

"So, is that true Mr.Hooda?" he asked Harsh. "No, there is nothing anything like that, we never offered her any job in any of our company", he said with shock. "No Dad, I offered her a post in our company", Aditya interfered.

Arshad turned towards Aditya and looked at him in question. "Actually, it was me who offered her the job. I have seen her work and felt she will be good resource for our company. So, I offered her but she rejected it", he said looking at Zoya.

Then Arshad turned to look at Zoya, she said, "Yea... I rejected the offer because I was not willing to leave Stanley". "Then what made you to agree to join Hooda Group of companies", Arshad asked.

Before Zoya could answer to his question he said, "You thought, you'll get lot of money if you join Hooda's company and when Stanley didn't agree to it. You killed him".

Everyone looked at Arshad with shock and Zoya looked at him with confusion. When she realized what he said, "Cha... How could think like that? I can't harm him at any cause or he won't stand in my way if he knows it'll lead me to a good life. I didn't want to leave Stanley but it was Stanley who asked me to accept the offer. He told me, that I should consider this offer for my own growth and even I would get the money I deserve", she said and tears started to roll down her cheeks.

"So, you're saying Stanley actually ask you to move on and Mr. Hooda didn't know about this", Arshad asked. "Yea... I was about to call him in the morning to confirm my acceptance", she said.

"I don't believe any of the words, you say Zoya. But still you need to come to our police station as you're the last person who saw him alive. We need to interrogate you", Arshad said. 

"Inspector", Aditya intervened, "I know Stan Uncle personally and I know how much he well wished for Zoya. He personally told me that he was happy that I offered her a good offer and he asked me to take care of her. So, if Zoya is saying that he accepted her to leave then it will be the truth", Aditya stood up for Zoya. 

"And you don't need to take her to police station for any interrogation and you should know that you can't arrest/take a woman to police station after 6.00pm. And also, you can't blame the murder on anyone if you can't find the actual reason behind the death", he added.

"You're talking too much, Mr. Aditya", Arshad said angrily. "You're crossing your limits, Mr. Arshad", Aditya raised his voice. Harshawardhan interfered in between to calm them down, "Inspector, as you can see, there is CCTV camera around here. We can check the video for proof and we can know what happened here", he said and looked at Aditya and gestured to stand down.

"Where is the CCTV server?" he asked. "In that room but no one knows the password to it except Stanley but he keeps a diary in the locker with all his personal details and things he doesn't want others to know", Zoya said.

Arshad looked around for the locker and found one near the bar cabinet. It was a thumb print locker, he asked the constables to bring the locker near to Stanley's body and with his thumb print he opened that locker.

Inside the locker he found a diary, a few passbooks and a passport, then some money and deep inside he found a few packets of drugs. "Hmmm... Okay..." he said. Then took the diary and looked through it. Then he went to the CCTV room and logged in with the password he got from the diary.
