Love or Revenge

Chapter 38

Aditya's ringtone screamed while he was in the bathroom. It was continuously ringing and he rushes out of the bathroom to silence it as he didn't want Zoya to wake up this early. She stirred in the bed but before she could wake up, he silenced his phone. She was back to her sleep and the phone vibrated in his hand. He checked the display while stepping out of the room thinking why Aman's security is calling him continuously.

He answered the next call and said, "Hello" in low tone. "Baba..." Security said tensely. "Hello..." He said again. "Baba..." He said again. "Tell me... Yadav", Aditya said in low tone. "Baba... Aman Baba... Aman Baba..." he said trailed off. "What happened to Aman?" Aditya asked sharply. "Baba... Aman Baba is dead..." Security said and immediately Aditya asked, "What?" as he couldn't believe what he heard.

"What are you saying? And how?" he asked as he was trying to gather himself. "Baba... We don't know, he sent us all home early yesterday. And when we came back this morning, we found him dead in his room with drugs near him", he said. Aditya slapped his forehead and said, "Shit! Aman..."

After sometime he said, "I'll... get there... as soon as possible... You please... inform to the police...". Security said, "We have informed police and they're on their way here, Baba". Aditya couldn't take it anymore and slammed his phone on the wall and screamed.

Arjun and Grace came running to him after hearing his scream, "What happened, Bhai?" Arjun asked when he saw Aditya crouched and crying. Aditya controlled his emotions and said, "That idiot, Aman... is dead... They found him near his drugs..." His voice broke down and laid his head on Arjun's shoulders. He again screamed and Arjun stood there dumbfounded and looking at Grace. "Didn't he understand... when his doctor... told him not to use drugs?" he asked while sobbing.

Arjun tried to calm him down and said, "Bhai... Please calm down... I think we should be get going there... Come on Bhai... Please gather yourself". Grace said, "Okay... Just a minute... I'll just go and get Zoya", she turned to leave.

Aditya wiped his face and said, "No... Arjun and I will go there and Zoya... she barely slept last night. Just let her sleep for some more time..." Grace nodded and said, "Okay... I'll stay here with her" Arjun gave her a nod and she disappeared into Zoya's room.

"Bhai... I know how much you love Aman and how much he is important to you... But, this is not the time for you to lose it... Let's get there and find what actually happened?" Arjun said. Aditya wiped his face again and nodded. "Okay... I'll come in a minute... You just take out the car and be ready", he said and went to his room.

Zoya was sitting with her hand in her head. He hurried towards the closet to change while she asked, "What happened? What was the noise outside?" Aditya said, "Nothing Zoya, you should get some more sleep. I'll be back..." then he rushed into the closet and came out wearing a T-shirt and Jeans.

Zoya said to Grace, "What happened? My head is aching too much". Aditya said, "Grace, give her few glasses of Lemonade and then let her to sleep for few more hours". Grace nodded. While leaving the room, he added, "Grace... one more thing... Don't you ever let her to get drunk ever again" and he let out a soft chuckle.

Both Zoya and Grace looked at him petrified. "Drunk?" Zoya asked in question. Then Grace filled her in what happened after she passed out in Aman's house. "Crap? What did I do?" She wondered.

"I don't know... You were passed out when we brought you here... After that what happened, I don't know... But Aditya has called me twice around 2.00 am. But I too was passed out", Grace said with stupid grin.

Zoya tried to remember what happened but everything was blurry. Grace asked, "Do remember anything?" Zoya shook her head vertically, "No... Everything was a blur". "Do you think that you mentioned to him about Aman or about your revenge?" Grace asked. "No... I don't think so, but from Aditya's reaction, I'm sure I didn't say anything about Aman or my revenge", Zoya said still trying to remember the night.
