Chapter 9

Next morning, Zoya woke up startled as her alarm beeped. Aditya has sent her an email with all the details last night itself. Today, she has to report in Andheri East office. It'll take minimum one hour reach because of the traffic.

So, she kept alarm 2 hours early of her usual time. She didn't want to give any bad impression on her first day itself. She got ready and then she woke up Grace. "Gracy, wake up, I need to leave in another five minutes otherwise I'll be late for my first day", she said.

"Grace, Wake up baby", she said again as Grace turned and covered her ears with another pillow. This time Zoya pulled Grace by her leg and she squeaked. "Come on, I'm getting late for my first day", Zoya screamed.

Grace woke up bright and looked at Zoya. Then she got out of the bed and launched herself towards Zoya and hugged her tightly. "All the best, babe", Grace screamed on top of her lungs.

Zoya smiled and hugged her back tightly then said, "Thank you and I love you". "I love you too, babe", Grace said before breaking their hug. "I'm so proud of you, babe", Grace said when they broke their hug.

"Okay, I'm leaving, I'm getting late", Zoya said and hurried out with her keys and bag.

Zoya took a cab to Andheri East. It took almost an hour to reach Hooda's Constructions office. She headed to reception and asked, "Hi, I'm here to report to Mr. Aditya Hooda. Can you tell me where I can find him?"

"Oh! You must be... Ms. Zoya Khan", immediately the receptionist asked her. Zoya nodded and said, "Yeah", with confusion. "Aditya told us that you'll be joining us today", she said with smile. Zoya smiled back at her.

"Follow me", she said and headed towards the lift. Zoya followed her to the lift. She led her to a room in 2nd floor; she introduced Zoya to them and said, "He is Mr. Mahesh, HR Head of our company. You need to finish some joining formalities and then you need to meet Aditya before you leave for the day".

Then she left her there. "Take you seat", Mahesh said and he took some book size paper from his desk while Zoya took a seat in front of him. He dropped that stack of papers in front of her with a thud. Zoya jerked at the sound and looked at the stack of papers.

"You need to sign all those paper and fill out the forms in between them", he said and went out.

Zoya looked perplexed at the stack of paper but she knows that she has to finish filling the forms. She took out the pen and started signing and filling the forms too.

Almost after 2 hours turning the papers and signing and filling, her right hand became numb now. She came out after giving the signed the forms to Mahesh. Then she came down to the receptionist and asked, "Hi, I finished up all the joining formalities... Where can I meet Mr. Aditya?"

The receptionist turned to her and said, "Hi, he will be in his cabin". Zoya looked at her clueless. Receptionist understood her expression and said, "His cabin is in 5th floor towards the right end".

Zoya took the lift and reached 5th floor and knocked on the door that had "CEO" sign just like in the other office. Few seconds later, she heard come in from inside.

When she entered his cabin, she noticed it looked the same, just like the other office in Malad. Aditya smiled at her awe look. "Hi Zoya, I'm glad to see you here", he said. Zoya looked at him and smiled.

"The interior looks like Malad office, I think you like this interior so much", she asked while sitting opposite to him. Aditya smiled and said, "My dad thinks I like such interiors... this is all his idea... I don't like such lavish and spacious office... I like to sit and work with my other staffs and also to have some fun and joyous surroundings... I sit here only when my dad is in the office with me..."
