Chapter 36

She reached her Malad apartment and closed the door hard behind her. On her way, she messaged Grace and Arshad to meet her in the apartment. She was pacing up and down in her living room when Grace and Arshad entered.

Grace hurried to her and hugged her. "Are you okay? Who was it?" she asked. "Aman... Aditya's other friend", Zoya said and Grace and Arshad asked in unison, "What?"

Zoya looked at them and said, "Yes... It's Aman... but he is not interested in why I went there or whether I'm involved in Srivastav's death or not... He wanted to hurt Aditya... He despises Aditya" Her eyes welled up.

She then explained everything that happened in the park and his condition to stay quiet about the video. Grace stood up and said, "What? What does he thinks? He can't prove anything with that video... You don't have to listen to that bastard".

Arshad calmly said, "He can prove a lot with that video... Just like he said, video timing clearly shows that Zoya ran out of his room and she has told that she went to meet him to talk about your marriage with you and left around 7.30 pm. If the Police get that video, they will pin his death on her and they will arrest her... I don't think, Aditya will take it casually too... Grace, you know how evidences are handled... Do you seriously, think she stands a chance?"

Grace looked at Arshad, "Well... I hate to agree but you have a point. And Harshawardhan knows how to bend the law... He'll do anything to blame Zoya and throw her out of his house..." Grace said.

"So... What do we do now?" Grace asked. Zoya was lost in thoughts for few minutes and then she said, "I know... What I should do?" Grace turned her to face her and asked, "What are you going to do? Are you going to accept to his condition?" Zoya nodded.

Arshad said, "Don't be absurd, Siddiqui... Do you think after doing something like that you could face Aditya or will Aman leave you once and for all? What if, he continues to blackmail to sleep with him or still hand over the video to Aditya and Police?"

"No... I know, he won't stop after that too and I'll not even let him touch me... He wanted to make Aditya suffer... Even if I agree to his condition, he'll send that video to Aditya just to hurt him..." Zoya said. "So, what are you going to do?" Grace asked. "That's why I'm going to stop him once and for all..." Zoya said. "What do you mean by that?" Grace asked. "I'm going to finish him... I'm not going to fall for his threat", Zoya said.

"Are you crazy? Already Aditya is having doubts on other's deaths. And this is not the right time to do anything like that", Grace said. "I think, Grace is right, Siddiqui, Don't do anything stupid and we don't want any attention now? You still have to face Harshawardhan" Arshad said.

"Don't worry... I know what to do and how to do... I just need your help Arshad..." Zoya said fiercely. Arshad asked, "Are you sure? You want to do this?" Zoya said, "I'm damn sure and everything will be in our favor at the end of the day... I just want you to do something for me"

Arshad sighed and said, "I'll be always there to help you, Siddiqui... if you want to do it". Grace looked at both of them and said, "I don't believe, you're agreeing with her. She lost it and you're helping her".

"Gracie, believe me... I can't let him hurt Aditya in anyway... I won't let him do that... I want you by my side, Babes.... Please..." Zoya asked with puppy dog eyes. "Uh... I can't say no, when you look at me like that... Okay what's your plan?" Grace asked.

Zoya removed a pin from her saree and gave it Arshad, "This clip has a camera and I recorded our conversation on this. I want you to edit the part where he confesses that he despises Aditya. You transfer the video to your phone and I want you to meet me at his house when I call you", Zoya said and he nodded.
