Chris

I called in sick as Aspen straddled me, her hands running down my chest. Smooth fingers tracing imaginary lines, a grin on her lips as she did so. It was tranquil with her on my lap or as calm as it could be with her hips pressing against mine. My own body yearned for more, for her lips to move, for her to use me as she wished. I wouldn't mind it, to have her telling me what to do.

My boss said something and all I could do was nod even when he couldn't see me, too distracted by what Aspen was doing. Every stroke was fire, every brush of her lips against my skin was a religious experience.

For fucks sake she was a religious experience, one that I would devote my life to.

Every kiss between us meant something, to be deprived of her kisses was a twisting pain in my chest. To evade those kisses was a slash against my own heart, to kiss her lips was ecstasy. It was euphoric and I didn't wish to give it up. I wouldn't give her up.

I felt Aspen ground her hips into mine, a grunt escaping me as her knee digged into my side. "Is everything alright Dr. Keaton. You sound in pain," my attention was drawn back to the call at that, coughing to cover up Aspens noises she made as she sucked on my neck.

"Yeah. Just tired," I clipped out, feeling the small smile on Aspens lips.

"Okay. Well I'll leave you to recover. See you tomorrow morning in my office to go over your request," he answered.

"Thank you," I said before hanging up, chucking my phone to the other couch. I heard a click against the floor but I didn't look if it had fallen on the floor as Aspen pushed my chin up.

"You lied," Aspen pointed out, kissing my jaw.

"So I did."

A small shake of her head, "Lying in a sin. It will tarnish your soul and fill your mind with corrupt thoughts," she whispered, shifting her legs.

I took a hold of her bare thighs, pushing my shirt up her legs. "Small lie-" I shrugged- "Would you have preferred if I went to work?"

Aspen pulled away slightly, frowning. Lips pursed, she thought about it before shaking her head. "A small lie. And who knows maybe you are sick. Right? Can't let others get sick."

I let out a laugh, so freaking cute. "True. What better cure than my fianceé?"

She smiled, pecking my lips. "I love that. Fiancee-" she empathized every syllable- "But I think wife has a better ring to it or Mrs. Keaton."

I ran my hands up her sides, feeling her bare skin. "And when would you like to get married? One month? Five? Before the baby is born or after?- I pulled her closer- "Which reminds me. What if I make an appointment with the obstetrician? I think she can fit us in some time this week."

"The what?" Aspens hands stilled on my shoulders.

"An OBGYN, for the baby. So we can see him or her," I answer moving a finger along the side of her breast. I felt her shiver, her back arching for more.

"I'd like that-" she kissed me again- "Very much."

Aspen

I walked inside the hospital with my chin raised, my hands buried deep in the pockets of my jacket.

This time I wasn't here for Chris, well I was but coincidence would be to cross paths with Nydia. For my hand to flash in her direction, for the ring that rested on my fourth finger to flash before her eyes. To settle this once and for all, to establish that Chris was mine and that she had to back the fuck off.
