Chapter 56

It has been 6 days since the accident and no response from Harry. I have spent most of my time in this room with him, waiting for the moment that he would squeeze my hand and open his eyes.

I called up yesterday and cancelled the wedding. With the condition that Harry is in they don't know if he will wake up. Even if Harry does wake up he is going to be on crutches for a while and it was heartbreaking making that call since we have been waiting for so long for this moment and once we are close to it someone has to ruin it.

I looked up from the bed when the door opened and Danny poked his head through. Anne was sat on the other side of the bed looking at her son with tears in her eyes.

"Tyler wants to see him" Tyler hasn't been in this room yet because I don't want him to see Harry like this.

Danny sighed at my lack of response "he really wants to see him" I sighed and nodded my head "just for a bit"

Danny opened the door wider and Tyler slowly walked into the room. I walked over to him and picked him up and walked back over to my seat to sit down with him on my lap. I had to explain to Tyler what's wrong with his dad, it was hard but he knows that he needs to be careful when he's around him.

Tyler sat up more in my lap and leant over Harry's body. I held the tears in as he leant down and kissed Harry on the cheek.

"Please wake up daddy. Mummy is sad and needs a hug" that was it for me.

I sniffled and wiped the tears away from my face before Tyler could see them. I felt a hand on my shoulder so I looked up to see Danny sending me a sympathetic look. The look I am coming way to familiar with.

"I think you should head home" I shook my head "I need to be here"

"You haven't slept in days. I know you don't want to be alone and I already told Steph I'll be staying at yours tonight" I tried my best to smile.

"Thank you" he nodded at me before taking Tyler by the hand. I briefly looked over to Anne who nodded her head at the door "you go, I'll stay here with him. I will call if anything happens" I hugged her goodbye and kissed Harry on the cheek like I do every time I leave.

The apartment is quiet without Harry around. He's normally running after Tyler or singing really loud.

"Tyler's finally asleep" Danny sat on the couch next to me and wrapped his arm around me. I rested me head on his chest as I finally let the tears out.

I missed when Danny use to hug me like this. He normally did it when I was upset. We may fight a lot like normal siblings but he is really protective of me and I couldn't ask for a better brother.

When I awoke I was still on the couch. I looked over to the kitchen to see Danny and Tyler sitting at the table.

"What time is it?" Danny looked down at his phone "2 in the afternoon" my eyes widened as I stood up from the couch "I slept all day"

"I told you that you needed sleep" I stretched and went to the bathroom to have a shower.

I walked back out once I was dressed and slipped my coat on. "Where are you going?"

"The hospital" Danny shook his head and took the keys from my hand "you need a break"

"Danny I'm fine. I just want to be with him" I held my hands out for the keys  but he put them in his pocket.

"Go and take Tyler out somewhere. I'll go to the hospital and check on Harry. If anything happens I promise I will call you" I was about to protest but Danny gave me the look.

I sighed and nodded my head "fine. But we'll go to the hospital after" Danny nodded his head and gave me the keys.

Once Tyler was ready we walked out of the building and over to the car. I was going to take Tyler to his favourite place to eat. Something to distract him and me. I made sure that my phone was in my pocket in case someone calls me.

It was nice to be with Tyler but I couldn't help but keep checking my phone. I haven't received anything yet.

I opened the door for Ty once we had paid. I looked up from the ground to find that Tyler was no longer in front of me.

"Ty!" I looked around and saw him run around the corner.  I ran after him and caught up to him just as he bumped into someone.

I took him by the shoulders and turned him around "I told you to never run off!"

"I'm sorry mummy" I sighed and stood back up to my height and turned to the person that Tyler ran into.

"I'm so sorry about-" I cut myself off when I met his gaze. My eyes widened as he smiled at me.
