It's been a few days since Caesar's death, poor Erik had to lug the animal out through the catacombs. Victoria spent about 20 minutes making a flower tiara, and placed it on the horses' grave. She stayed silent for about a week, for reasons unknown to her father. Non the less, he respected his daughters wishes to be left alone.

"Victoria, please come here." He called to her one day. He waited a few minutes, until he heard the soft sound of her feet hitting the ground. The sound stopped just behind him.

"Yes, Papa?" She asked, her voice soft and quiet like always. Erik moved around to face his daughter.

With each passing day she looked more and more like her mother. Her messy brown curls fell in long spirals along the sides of her face. He patted a space on the music bench next to him. She sat next to him.

"I have something for you." He half smiled. He looked away from her for a second and back to his desk. He pulled a medium sized clay figurine of a horse. Not just any horse, it was Caesar. It even had the little white stripe on the snout like Caesar did.

A small, yet excited squeak came out of Victoria's mouth. She hugged Erik's side tightly, leaning her head on his shoulder.

"It looks just like him." She smiled, the first time in weeks. "Thank you Papa." Erik gave Victoria a half smile, the two sat there in a comfortable silence for what seemed like hours.

"I also have something to tell you." Erik finally broke the silence, he got up to grab something.

"What might that be?" Victoria asked, moving around so she could see what he was doing. He picked up his light coat, it was spring after all. He tossed a package at her.

"Get dressed. We'll discuss it over lunch." He smiled, walking her to her room.
