"V?" Erik asked as he walked out of on' of the tunnel that lead to the little isolated island. He pretended he didn't know what happened. He heard the soft sound of his daughter crying, he remembered the first time he left Victoria by herself, hiding under his desk crying and sniffling. He walked over to her room and stood half behind the curtain and half in her room. He saw her laying on her bed with her head buried in a pillow. "is everything alright mon ange?" he said walking into her room fully. Her room was trashed, along with her masked, ripped and shattered along the ground, she defiantly had her fathers temper. "Victoria talk to me." he heard muffling come from under the pillow. "with out the pillow please." he softly smiled.

"there's nothing to talk about papa." she wiped her eyes with her cloak.

"I think there is if you come home and this is what happens. You're lucky I bought you a new mask. He rubbed her shoulder.

"they called me ' the devils daughter ' papa!" she sobbed into his shoulder. Erik pulled her into his lap as if she was 5 again, he held her for awhile stroking her soft brown curls. He gave people things to say, though he did not tell that man to call her ' the devil's daughter' he'd have to pay that man a visit later.

"I know child, I told you this was going to happen." he said softly.

"don't worry papa, I won't leave." she sighed. Seeing his little girl like this broke his heart.

"well, then I believe it's time we shall break that rule." he said with a soft smile. He handed her a new mask. This one was black with red lace and feathers. He placed it carefully over her head full of curly brown hair, hiding her distorted face.

"what do you mean papa?" she sighed deeply.

"do you remember the surprise I've been working for a long time for you?" she nodded l. "well its finally ready and it's almost time you made your main entrance. I'll be back in two hours to get you, make sure you're ready by then." he smiled when he saw her eyes light up.

"thank you papa! I swear I will have everything cleaned by the time you get back, and I'll be dressed." she smiled remembering what she had done to her dress. He then left to make sure everything was ready. As Victoria was cleaning she heard a soft 'ahem' she looked behind her and smiled.
