It was a quiet evening, barely anyone was in the opera house. Victoria and her father quietly maneuvered their way through the tunnels, Victoria's dress flowing around her feet as she walked. Erik held a lit lantern to light the way, looking back every five minutes or so to make sure she was still there.
"At lunch, we will discuss your schedule for rehearsals." He broke the silence, stopping to open up a door. It lead to the hallway outside the dinning room meant for the crew members.
"Yes, Papa." Victoria responded. Erik motioned for her to go in front of him, so he should close the hidden doorway.
She walked forward, looking into the room to see if anyone was there. There wasn't, and she let out a sigh of relief. Silence fell over them again as they sat, waiting for something, whatever it was Victoria had no idea. Did he already have the cooks prepare the food and all they had to do was wait? Erik looked at her as if he could read her mind.
"Lunch should be out shortly." He pulled out her chair for her, then sat down in the chair across from her. "I got you your favorite."
"Early Autumn Soup?" Victoria's eyes sparkled slightly from behind her mask, making her father smile.
"Of course, that is your favorite, correct?" He asked.
"Yes!" She laughed, excitedly. She covered her mouth when she realized how loud she had spoken. As they sat there in silence, someone came in with her soup in one hand, and what ever her father had ordered in the other. Then left without saying anything to them but, "Enjoy."
"Rehearsals begin tomorrow morning." Erik cut into what looked like chicken. "Madam Giry will come an hour early to do your makeup." He took a bite of his food, then swallowed before speaking again. "I have the full script back home. When we are done with lunch we will go through it together, and practice till it is time for bed. Do you understand?" He asked, finally looking at her. She nodded in response, knowing her wasn't done speaking. "When it comes to weekly rehearsals without me, you must come home by six, no exceptions."
"But what if-."
"No exceptions." He repeated. "And I don't want you seeing that boy, again." He finished. "He seems to be a bad influence on you." He took another bite of his food.
"Yes, Papa." She agreed, stirring her soup with her spoon.
"Good." He nodded. "Now eat, we have a busy night ahead of us."

"Wake up, Mon Ange." Erik gently shook Victoria to wake her up. Victoria's eyes gently flickered open, as she rolled onto her back, and sat up. Madam Giry stood behind him, not paying attention to them. She was setting up her makeup on Victoria's vanity.
"Good morning." Victoria smiled at her father, he smiled in return. She swung her legs over the side of her bed and walked over to Madam Giry. "Good morning. Madam Giry." She kissed her on the cheek, and sat down in front of the vanity. The hour long wait for Victoria to look 'normal' again, began. Then it was time for Victoria to go to rehearsal.
"What if i'm not good enough, Papa?" Victoria asked as they walked through the tunnels. "What if I fail?"
"You will never fail." Erik reassured her. "You are made of marble." He smiled, as they approached the door.
"Thank you, Papa." She smiled, wrapping her arms around him.
"I will meet you here at six." He hugged her back, then let go to walk back the way they came. Leaving Victoria to go on by herself. She opened the door, and walked in behind the stage. People looked at her as she walked toward the front of the stage.
"Ah welcome back, Mademoiselle Victoria." The man in charge smiled, as he was talking to his partner.
"Good morning Monsieur." Victoria bowed her head slightly, and smiled back.
"Rehearsals will start soon, please make yourself comfortable." He motioned to they other members of the cast. "Meet your cast members." Victoria nodded and walked over to where they were all standing, talking to one another.
"Victoria?" A voice spoke from behind her. She spun around to see who it was.
"Elijah?" She asked, equally confused.
"Where were you? You promised to meet me a few weeks ago, and you never showed up." He looked at her worried something had happened.
"Oh no." She sighed, putting her face in her hands. "I completely forgot." She apologized. Then she remembered what she promised her father. "I can't talk to you." She said suddenly and turned back around to introduce herself to the other cast members.
"Wait, what?" Elijah grabbed her shoulder, spinning her around. "Why?"
"I'm just not allowed to." Victoria responded.
"Did your farther tell you not to see me?" He asked, not letting his grip on her shoulders any more loose.
"So what if he did? He's just trying to protect me." Victoria struggled out of his grip.
"From what? Me?" Elijah laughed humorlessly. "I'm the last thing you need to be protected from, I can tell you that."
"You don't know what's best for me." She growled, trying to move past him, but he wouldn't budge. "Get out of my way!" Victoria yelled, pushing him out of the way. Everyone turned in their direction, to see what was going on. Victoria's face turned a slight shade of pink, as she tried to collect herself. Elijah raised his hands up in defeat, backing away from her slightly.
"You two need to learn to get along." The playwright said, after a few minutes if deafening silence. "If you're going to play lovers, you must learn to act like lovers."

Author's note:
Holy fudge its been such a long time! I can't begin o say how sorry I am. I just kind of fell of the Phantom of the Opera fan wagon or a while, so I had absolutely no inspiration. But I am back! And after re-reading most of my chapters, I've noticed that they are extremely, and I mean EXTREMELY, short. Which is mostly because this story was the first ever fan fiction I've written, and I used to write it on my iPod touch, so it looked longer on that. So when I finish this story, which should be pretty soon, I'll go back and edit the chapters to try and make them longer.
Speaking of the ending, I've decided that this story has being going on for long enough, and that I should end it. After this chapter, there will be 10 chapters. Sorry, but I need to move past this story, and work on my newer ones. (Which you should all go check out, they're so much better).
Also don't forget to comment and/or vote on this chapter. See you in the next update!
