Victoria stood frozen in place, she kept looking down. Afraid, afraid to look him in the eyes.
"Victoria, what are you doing out here without a cloak of some sort? You'll catch a cold." he asked taking his off and putting it on her shoulders.
"I don't know...." she felt her head. "thank you." she half smiled. He nodded slightly before putting an hand on her back and gently pushing her back into the building. She kept her eyes on the ground.
"is everything alright? You seem upset." he frowned, he hated seeing her upset. She couldn't hold it in anymore, she ran into him and threw her arms around him. He held her close to his chest.
"it's horrible! Horrible!" she sobbed into his chest.
"what's wrong?" he asked more like demanded.
"you see, there's this boy. And, I really, REALLY liked him... And I thought he liked me back, but I just saw him kissing this other girl.... Ugh! Why does love hurt so much!" she sobbed. She began to hyperventilate, he grabbed her shoulders gently letting get sit down.
"take your medicine." he instructed, handing her the bottle. She took the pill out of the bottle and placed it in her mouth, swallowing it.
"can I come home papa?" she asked shakily, looking him in the eyes.
"of course mon ange." he smiled helping her to her feet.
