Many tears slid down Victoria's cheeks. She looked at her father in shock. "w-what do you mean papa?" she stuttered. Erik took a deep breath.
"this is something we need to discus at home Victoria." Victoria shook her head at him. "Now!" he snapped at her. She let out a high pitched squeak and covered her head. "we're going home, now!" He grabbed her arm and started running back to the opera house, he stopped one of the workers as they got inside. "tell everyone the party is over."
"what should I tell them if they ask why monsieur?" the boy asked. Erik sighed as if he was in a hurry.
"tell them it's getting very late and people will get home safer rather than if they leave later." he huffed and took off with Victoria trailing behind him. As soon as they reached their home he sat Victoria down on her bed and sat across from her.
"I believe its time you knew." He sighed shakily, avoiding her eyes. Victoria nodded nervously as she put on her dressing gown. He began to explain on how Victoria was brought to him, how she did have a life beyond the opera cellar. Victoria's soft brown eyes became confused and sad.
"I- I- I have a mother?" She stuttered. She looked as if she was about to cry. He nodded. She stood up, get fists clenched into tiny balls. "how could you!?" she suddenly yelled, taking him by surprise. "please tell me you're lying, please tell me papa!" she was sobbing now. His silence gave her the answer. "oh god! Oh god! Please god no!" she sobbed, she was working herself up. Her head began to spin, and her vision blurred, suddenly her world stated to become dark.
"Victoria! Mon ange, please forgive me. Come back to me. Victoria!" was the last thing she heard.
