Chapter 26: Happy and Content.

❄️

Just as she unlocked the door to her old apartment with Merida giving her support and holding her bag which held her toiletries and clothes in it. While Elsa held the handle of her floral oxygen backpack rolling behind her.

Anna hugged her just as she entered, she smiled hugging her back.

"I missed you so much, bro!" Anna squealed, hugging her tightly.

"I missed you too, br- Ah! Anna!" Anna lifted her up from the ground making her yelp while she laughed.

"Control, Anna!" Eugene grabbed Elsa from her and gently placed her back on the ground. She had so much energy and strength for her small stature.

Elsa placed her hand on her chest taking calming breaths, "Don't ever do that again." She breathlessly spoke clenching her abdomen, feeling a sudden pang.

"Oh I'm so sorry, I didn't know. Are you okay, Elsa? I'm sorry, oh my god. Are you okay?" Anna panicked, so did Eugene and Merida.

"I'm- I'm fine." But her face said something else. Elsa grabbed her bag from Merida and searched for painkillers.

"No, your not." Eugene scooped her up in his arms, "No, I just need a painkiller that's all." She reasoned, while Anna left to grab a glass of water.

He took her to her old bedroom and laid her down on her bed. After taking a painkiller, she laid with her arm covering her eyes. But Eugene knew better that she was not sleeping.

"Elsa, I know you're not sleeping." Eugene whispered closing her door and sat down on her bed.

She removed her arm and for the first time, her eyes landed on her untidy room and carbon boxes and suitcases lying in a pile at a corner. She sat up looking at her room in utter confusion.

"What's all this?" She asked, gesturing towards the packed boxes and her suitcases.

"Your clothes, books, shoes, gadgets and whatever, whatever." He stated like she was the biggest idiot in the whole wide world.

"No! I thought you would have unpacked my stuff already." She grumbled as she whacked his head, making him glare at her.

"I want you to get out of here. I'm tired of seeing your stupid face, so I have decided I want to live in peace." His tone held playfulness in it, her eyebrows furrowed and her heart beat quickened, making her gulp.

Did she do something wrong? Did she make him angry? Is he finally tired of carrying her burden? He really thinks she's a burden? She gulped once again, worry and fear of being thrown and neglected clouded her eyes. Her biggest fear was standing tall right in front of her and was ready to pounce at her.

Every possible possibility was playing in her head, making her even more scared, her fists clenched at her bedsheets as beads of sweat trickled down her forehead.

Eugene smiled like he had read her mind and lightly slapped her head, "I'm not abandoning you, silly."

He grabbed a pink rubber band from her dressing table and came back to sit behind her on her bed.

"I think, my baby sister is not a baby anymore. She's a grown up but just not a mature one." He gently brushed his fingers in her long hair, slowly untangling a few knots. She turned her head to look at him, she was shocked but decided to not speak anything.

"So I have decided to give my sister her wings back and let her fly. Let her do what her heart desires, what makes her happy, I want to set her free and enjoy without anything holding her back. Just don't interact with bad boys or your stupid bungee jumping, or sky diving, or skiing, or scuba diving, or... Okay I'll stop." He stopped seeing Elsa give him a poker face and hit him with her elbow.
