Chapter 16: 11 : 23 PM.

She stood on the dark street of Brooklyn, under a street lamp with Facebook rubbing his fur on her leg. Streets were almost empty and she was standing there for almost an hour, waiting for Jack. She didn't even remember her way back, she was never good with directions and now she was regretting it. She cursed her bad sense of direction and looked at her phone.

It was already 8 in the evening and Elsa was feeling like crying. She didn't have Jack's number and she couldn't call Eugene, because if she does call him, he will get a solid reason to take back Elsa to his apartment. Now the only option was taxi, but where was she going to find a taxi on this empty street?!

She cursed her bad luck, her eyes were stinging with unshed tears. Her knee was hurting like hundreds of needles were pricking her wound, and her jeans were also not doing any justice with her wound. She took her diary out of her sling back along with a pen, she scrolled through pages and stopped at an empty page.

Do not trust Dr Jackson Overland Frost with going anywhere. She wrote angrily and closed her diary, shoving it back inside her bag along with a pen.

"Nod is right, when he calls him Jerk Frost." Elsa muttered and stood hugging herself, she looked down at Facebook.

"You wanna hear a joke, Facebook?" She asked, looking at the dog who gave her a blank expression.

"A man walks into a zoo, the only animal at the zoo is a dog, it's a shitzu!" Elsa laughed historically, but the dog still looked at her with a blank expression, her laughter slowly died down.

"Oh come on, Facebook it wasn't a bad one." Elsa smiled and now her eyes were stinging with tears once again, she was deciding on calling Eugene, when she saw an old and almost dying yellow car with black strips and a sign of taxi over it stopped in front of her.

"Do you need a ride, Ma'am?" Asked the taxi driver, as he rolled down the black tinted window and looked at Elsa with a small smile. He was a teenage boy maybe eighteen or nineteen, with shaggy brown hair, he wore black rimmed glasses and old worn out clothes.

He looked like a nice guy, who worked hard for his family in an old and almost dead cab. But at least the guy was getting a chance to earn some dollars and Elsa was getting home.

Maybe her luck isn't that bad! Elsa nodded her head with a grin.

"Explain!" Jack demanded, just as he entered the private room. He took the littmann stethoscope classic III from Penny, putting the Eartips in his ears and the chest piece on his patient's chest. He heard weak and irregular heartbeats, he took the stethoscope and handed it back to Penny.

"She started crying, feeling a severe pain in her chest and then she suddenly collapsed." Penny informed, Jack ripped open a packet of alcohol pad and rubbed it on her arm then he tied the tourniquet on her forearm. He grabbed the needle from the tray that Penny was holding and prepared it for insertion.

"It's the code blue. She had heart attack, prepare the room for surgery immediately and inform her parents." Jack spoke urgently and inserted the needle in her thin arm and removed the tourniquet. Then he attached the saline lock to the catheter. "Yes, Doctor." She obeyed and quickly ran out of the room.

He stabilized IV with tape and he inserted the 5ml fluid of normal saline through the saline port, then he attached the catheter with an IV bag that was supported with an IV pole. Jack looked at the little girl who had her eyes closed now, her skin was as pale as a paper sheet and her lips were blue.
