Chapter 37: This Is Peace.

❄️

She sat on the couch with her feet crossed on the coffee table. She switched channels with a bored look on her face that she was trying so hard to maintain. Code word 'trying'.

"Uh... My throat feels so parched. Get me a glass of water, please?" She put her hand on her throat and looked at him with a mischievous glint in her eyes.

He looked up at her with narrowed eyes filled with annoyance. There he was sitting on a beanbag with notes and a laptop, yep! He was making her assignments.

"Shut up... Go get it yourself." He scowled and pushed back his glasses. All for that stupid Go Kart and that Stupid bet, he had to fulfill her three wishes. She was using that right very excellently. She used her first wish and made him her loyal slave.

"Come on, Jack. I even said please. My show is starting and I don't want to miss the beginning plus you know you don't have any other choice." She snickered under her breath and placed her chin on her palm as she looked at the TV again.

Jack gave her a one hard glare before standing up, it was after midnight and he had just come back from his shift at the hospital and now Elsa was making him do her assignments like a brat. It was all because he had made a biggest mistake of his life in the past and that was... Having slept with Sylvia which was one year prior of meeting with Elsa.

He took off his glasses and rubbed on his eyes sliding them back on as he stood up to walk towards the open kitchen.

"And while you're at it please grab two donuts for me as well."

He stopped and turned to look at her, "Elsa, this is getting way more absurd now. You need to stop this! It's been going on since two days and now this stops right now." She continued to look at the TV not even facing him as he finally ran out of patience and showed his frustration.

He was too tired for God's sake.

He walked up to her and in front of the TV but then she looked down and not at him. He sighed brushing his hand through his hair, the hand she used to hold the remote had started to quiver yet again and it slipped from her hand and onto the marble floor.

"Look at me, Elsa."

Silence...

Not even a word was said from her.

"Elsa..." His tone softened as he sat on his knees and grabbed her trembling hand into his as he gently squeezed it.

She finally looked at him with a strange look in her big blue eyes, he caressed her cheek with his other hand and nodded his head, "talk to me."

She stayed quiet and bit onto her lip.

"Are you perhaps feeling insecure by the fact that I've dated before you?" It was just his apprehension but when Elsa squeezed his hand once and looked away it confirmed his guess.

He licked his lips and made her face him again. "Elsa... Everything that happened, all those girls that was all in the past, they have no place in my life or whatsoever and I can assure they are not coming back here. I like you, Elsa... It's you and maybe or hopefully someday more than that. I promise you that it's you for me and I don't have an ounce of feel for those other girls. I don't go around saying 'I Like You' to every girl, Elsa. Everything aside I'm willing to make this work with you... but if you keep on worrying about the people that aren't even here then how? This... Relationship we have is precious to me and I swear it makes me happy but if you're gonna be like this... Tell me what I need to do, hmm?" He breathed close to her face, his eyes looking at her lips and then back at her face.
