Chapter 31: Cheese burgers and fries.

Walking across the hallway, his expensive shoes were making sound against the white tiled floor. He was holding her bridal style in his arms and checking on her from time to time if she were okay. Wearing his blazer jacket, she was literally hiding in it, her arms were weakly wrapped around his neck.

Music was on full volume, some were dancing, some were drinking wine and conversing. Feeling too scared of the attention, she hid herself further in the Jacket and his chest. Nod, who was dancing like crazy with his now fiancee, but the loving way he looked at her was so beautiful, that Jack didn't want to break their moment. So he called for Hiccup, he quickly came as he saw them. Lines of worry forming on his forehead as he looked at Elsa's pale form in Jack's arms.

"What happened? Is she okay?" Elsa's arms tightened around Jack's neck, making him glance at her.

"Yeah? She fell in the bathroom, I have to take her back to the apartment. Tell Ronin and Tara that we left because of some important work." Hiccup nodded gently patting Elsa's head.

"You should be careful, Els." Elsa weakly smiled at him, not wanting to speak in her shaky voice.

"Okay, See ya! Take care of her, Jack and call me when you reach your place." Hiccup put his hands in his dress pants' pockets and walked away from them.

Jack continued his journey to outside where his car was parked and opened the passenger door, but Elsa tightened her hold onto him, not letting go, "You have to let go, Elsa." He sighed but she still held onto him tightly and shook her head. She looked too shaken, Elsa was scared that she would see him again.

Jack sighed once again and looked at her not being able to understand her anymore. He walked across his car and opened the driver's seat, he sat down with her clinging on him. Right now she just resembled a koala bear clinging to a tree branch.

He took his keys out of the blazer jacket that Elsa was wearing and twisted the car's key in the ignition, the engine of his black SUV roared to life and he started to drive. Jack's one hand was placed on the steering wheel and his other arm was wrapped around her waist, the car was moving on a slow speed, she watched as the trees and buildings were disappearing behind them.

"I can't drive like this." Jack muttered, feeling her hot breath in the crook of his neck, tickling him and raising an army of goosebumps on his neck and back.

She further buried her face in his neck and inhaled, it was literally frustrating him. Her proximity was not good for him at the moment, How long has it been again? He thought to himself and gulped.

With her sitting in his lap and her face in the crook of his neck wasn't doing any good to the poor guy who hadn't neared any girl for like a month and more already. Her sweet smell of vanilla and peppermint was surrounding him, along with her strawberry scented hair shampoo. Jack just wanted to get out of this situation as soon as possible but it was also distracting him from driving.
She was breathing heavily with her chest pressed against his. "I'm sorry, Jack." She whispered, her soft lips moved against his warm skin as she spoke and he almost hit a lamp post.

Oh My God! He mouthed with his hand tightly clenching onto the steering wheel, Jack cleared his throat. "It's- it's okay." Despite clearing his throat, his voice still came out a little hoarse with all the blood rushing south.

"No! It's not okay. It was your best friend's wedding and I made you leave because... because... I saw him." Her voice trembled in the end.

Abort! Abort! Mission abort! The blood in his body started rushing back up.
