I promise (Yamaguchi Tadashi x reader)

Chapter 15: a few days later

Y/n pov:

It had been a few days since Tadashi and I made our wishes on the roof.
Not that much has happened over the last few days but I'll list a few! Practice has been continuing as normal and it's been so fun, I helped Kiyoko with managing, ran to Ukai's shop before practice finished to get some ice creams to cool the team down and walked to and from school with Tada-chan!

This morning he knocked on my door as normal and waited for me to finish getting ready before we headed out. On the walk to school we talked about how he could improve in the team and how we could train better.

Once we got there, Tadashi and I walked over to the gym, we were some of the first to arrive so we helped set up and get everything ready. Once everyone had arrived and we had practiced for a while we packed away and headed to class.

Tada-chan, Tsukishima and I walked to our class together discussing tactics and ways we could improve.... we talked about our tests too...

"I'm not feeling great about them but I'll try my hardest to get a good score!"
I said determinedly.

"Well we're gonna have to help Hinata and Kageyama revise as well as ourselves." Tsukki walked on ahead of us while we tried to keep up.

We eventually got to class and had to deal with boring lessons for hours until lunch break. I packed my stuff away as quickly as possible and ran to the team's table so I could get a good spot to sit in and reserve one for Tada-chan. I got there third (after Suga and Enoshita) ,  they greeted me and we started our lunches. The others eventually came along with Nishinoya and Tanaka arriving last.

By the end of practice it was dark but still sort of warm. I helped clean up and helped everyone with packing away their things before we all left the gym together to go get our meat buns from Ukai's shop. I helped Daichi find them and offered to pay but he said Ukai was paying for most of it as a reward for our hard work.

It was even darker once we left the store but we were still able to see due to street lamps but it wasn't great.

It had been a few minutes and the team were still walking together. Tada-chan and I were getting ready to cross the road when a lorry started speeding through the road. Tadashi had already gotten half way across...

I had to do something!

I can't let him get hurt!

I ran over to him and pushed him onto the path in front of him so he didn't get hit.

But before I could get out of the way it  was too late.

The last thing I heard was someone scream
"Y/N!!!"

Then it all went black...
