Chapter 25: Surprise

Y/n pov:  

Later in the day the Karasuno team had finally finished all of their matches for the day. Everyone was tired from doing so many laps and matches. The only one who wasn't tired was Hinata who wanted to play and play until we won but we knew that we should stop until tomorrow.

The other managers and I went out to get WcDonalds for everyone to surprise them! It was a good idea but the icecream machine was broken so Kiyoko and I had to rush to a corner store to buy some.

We met the other managers at the gate to the hosting school and headed inside.

"Surprise!" We all smiled holding the treats we got for the teams.

They smiled at us, formed a line, waited and we handed their food to them.

I sat alone in the corner of the gym eating my WcDonalds happy meal. I was so engrossed in eating I didn't notice someone sit down next to me.

"Hey, Y/n. Are you alright?"   Tadashi asked.

I nodded and shuffled closer to my friend, he smiled and so did I. We ate our food and talked for a while until it was time to clean up.

I said goodbye to Tadashi before I headed to the kitchen to clean up with the girls. 

"Hey Y/n! There's a few more bowls here that need drying."  Kaori handed me a dish cloth.

"Thanks Kaori, I'll hop to it." I took the cloth from her hand and started drying bowls.

"Y/n, may I ask something?", Eri started and I nodded so she could continue. "Um... are you and that freckle boy from Karasuno together? You seem close, that's all. I don't want to get the wrong idea."

I hesitated for a while before replying to her. "Oh, Tada-chan and I? We're just childhood friends but I guess we are very close and it's an easy misconception to make."   I continued drying the bowls and then cleaned some of the surfaces.

We all headed back to the gym to say goodnight before getting ready and going to bed.  My futon was right by the window, I couldn't sleep at all so I opened the window and sat on the window sill.   

The stars were beautiful just like when Tadashi sat on the roof with me, I hope we can do that again sometime, it was fun.
