Chapter 29: Confession

Yamaguchi pov:

"In a while, crocodile!" I turned back to the team, I got a pat on the back from Daichi and the team seemed proud (even Nishinoya and Tanaka).

I had asked them for advice and a little bit of help earlier to get everything ready in gym 4. Luckily we didn't need to worry about y/n seeing us not practicing because she was helping set up the barbecue for later.

I was excited yet nervous but I made sure to play my best in our practice matches. I hoped everything would go well and I think it did.

Y/n pov:

I checked the time, I had a few minutes to spare before I had to meet Tada-chan, so I showered and got changed because my clothes from earlier smelt like fire and burnt sausages.

I checked on the girls one last time before heading over to gym 4.

I put my trainers on and opened the gym door, "Tada-chan?"

"Y/n! Th-thank you for coming o-on such short notice, I hope you don't mind." He said as I walked in

"Don't worry, its alright."

"..."

"..."

"Um..well this feels kind of awkward, doesn't  it?  He rubbed the back of his neck and I nodded in response.

"What was it you wanted to tell me about, Tada-chan?" I asked, I was slightly worried. He seemed a bit off. He held my hands in his making me look into his eyes.

"Okay, I'm ready to tell you." He took a deep breath before continuing, " L/n    f/n, you are one of the kindest, most beautiful people in the world. Since we met, you've always been there for me, even when it was hard.  A-And that's why I love you, I always have. Y/n will you be my girlfriend?"

I wasn't quite sure what to say. I stepped closer to him.

"Yamaguchi Tadashi, you are the kindest, most handsome person I've ever met. You've always been there for me, through everything. And that's why I love you, I always have and always will. Of course I'll be your girlfriend." I bought my face closer to his and he did the same until our lips touched. It was awkward at first but eventually we melted into it.

A few seconds later we had to break it for air but at first I couldn't believe what i had just done.

"Hey Y/n are you ready to break the news to everyone?" He giggled slightly, looking down at me.

I replied with a 'yep' before holding his hand and leading him over to the barbecue and our friends.
