I promise (Yamaguchi Tadashi x reader)

Chapter 2 : Hinata

Y/n pov:

It was only five minutes into break when I noticed a boy on the other side of the bench looking at me.
'Ugh I'm getting too much attention today.'

"Great, just great."I mumbled but he heard.
"What's great?" He asked taking a bite into his meat bun.
"N-n-Nothing." I say as I look up at him for the first time.

"I'm Hinata Shoyou, first year. You're the new girl in class four, right."

"Y-yeah, I'm (y-y/n) (l/n). F-first year c-class four." I say before sipping my juice.

Then out of nowhere Hinata started talking about volleyball. And bombarded me with questions.

"Have you ever heard of volleyball? Do you like it? Have you played it?"

"I used to play a lot, with my best friend. He taught it to me in kindergarten. He played it with me, he learnt it with me, he watched it with me... he... he left me..." Everything just fell out of my mouth and I couldn't do anything to stop it.

As if on que my phone lit up, showing a boy I just met a painful memory.

"I'm guessing that's him (l/n)-san, may I call you that?"
I nod twice and squash the empty, purple carton and start walking over to the bin.

Hinata pov:

'He looks kinda familiar but I don't remember where I've seen him.' I thought to my self trying to remember.

"Would you like to come see me practice? I'm in the boys volleyball team here so you can come and watch if you want."

"Is it really okay for me to come Hinata? I mean I don't want to interrupt your practice."

"Of course you can come, I'm sure no one would mind. Here, hand me your phone and I'll put my number in."

She handed over her phone and I put my number into contacts. Once I gave her phone back I texted her the times.
Then I remember the photo.

"(L/n)-san," I shout as she gets up to go back to class, "what was that boys name?"
She stops and I catch up.

Then she whispers something in my ear.
"Tadashi." She says before walking into her classroom and leaving me in the hallway.
