brutally honest, brutally pretentious

the world is brutally honest,
it made you question why,
yet it is also a wicked liar,
and taught you how to lie,
you fake your smiles to keep on moving,
your laughter is melody but also hollow,
you applaud yourself for being such a good actor,
but you know in pretend, you wallow,
all these lies start filling you in,
you breathe and take whatever you can bear,
but soon these lies start to spill,
the broken truths you now cannot wear,
the lesson to learn is simply like this;
it's okay to show your emotions; show me your weakness
the heavy load inside your chest will be lifted,
and i won't think of you any less.
