the home you thought would be your safe haven
is the place your thoughts are never really safe,
like wanting to feel what it's like being loved
but only being filled with nothing but self-hate,
home that's supposed to calm your storms
is now the place where it starts the hurricanes,
home that's supposed to welcome you with loving arms
became the matchstick that started the flame,
you cannot go anywhere
so you have no choice but to stay at home,
let your thoughts do the wandering
within the darkness that you've always felt alone.
so tell me, where is it more dangerous to go?
