I was waiting for the stars tonight despite having fever. As time progressed, I only saw rain clouds forming from my view. I felt loneliness and hopelessness upon realizing this. But then my eye caught sight of a glimmering red dot at the nearby void in the sky where it was surrounded by the gray clouds. I stood up from my seat and turned around. Behold, the sight of a handful of stars smiling down at me as if telling me they were still there despite the surrounding rain clouds. They never left. I was not alone.
That was enough to keep me going.
