Day 4: Miami
Leila "from the old neighborhood"
I don't know why June wants to act like he doesn't know me. We've been in the same house for four days straight and he can't even look me straight in the eye. Jarron told me that June wanted to talk to me but he's been doing nothing but giving me the cold shoulder so what am I supposed to do?
After he did me dirty, I'd expect some type of an explanation but he can't even be man enough to do that.
I mean, what kind of man denies his baby and leaves me to pick up the pieces? That's lil boy behavior. And I thought what June and I were better than that.
We started off as friends and he always wanted to take it further but I was against it at first. He kept asking me over and over again and finally I gave in. That was probably the dumbest thing that I could've ever done.
And he's lucky that I didn't tell my brothers to book a flight out here, to beat him up. He's the reason why I left our old neighborhood because I didn't want everyone knowing that I was pregnant.
When Jarron invited me here, I was a bit skeptical at first because I had a feeling that June was going to be here but Jarron said that we should work some things out. And he's not wrong, my son does need his REAL father in his life to teach him how to be a man.
I didn't know that June was in a relationship and I don't want to step on this girls toes but June will take care of this baby.
I don't know how I should break the news to him but he has a four year old son that needs him. It's already hard being a single parent but being a single mother of a son is 10x harder. I can't teach him how to be a man.
"Hey wassup?" June asked as he entered the kitchen where I was.
"Hey" I smiled, "I'm just in here waiting on my pizza to heat up in the microwave, how are you?"
"I'm chillin, it's been a while since I've seen you."
June got hisself a piece of last-nights pizza and put it in the toaster oven. I should've thought of that because microwave pizza doesn't really hit.
"Yeah it has and I've been meaning to talk to you about something" I told him, "I don't know how we should start this conversation off because I heard that you wanted to talk to me too."
He looked perplexed, "What?"
"What it do Jada boo?!" Someone yelled obnoxiously.
"Dro lets watch the movie down..oh hey y'all" the loud girl said as she entered the kitchen.
"Wassup Olivia" June laughed.
I got my pizza out of the microwave and pulled one of the bar stools up to the counter.
"I thought everyone went to the beach" Olivia said, "I didn't mean to come up in here, yelling and what not."
She's been yelling this whole trip.
"Me and Lena was in the room taking a nap" he said.
"You two still trying to recover from last night?" Olivia asked as she sat next to me...great.
"We went to the club and then walked on the beach right after and didn't get home until the sun came up, how are you not recovering?" He laughed.
We all had a long night, last night and I can't lie like I didn't enjoy myself.
The other girl Gina and I hung out all night and kind of gave me the run down on the Lena girl and the rest of the people that I didn't know already.
So Lena and that fine peace of man Luís were really close but then June came in the picture and messed things up (like he always does) and now none of them are friends anymore.
