It was good, seeing everyone enjoy themselves last night.

I'm glad Lena's accomplishments were celebrated in the way that they were, surrounded by family and friends.

She may not have had the graduation that she desired but I'm glad that she was able to be reminded by all the people that showed up, how much she is cared about.

I didn't get home until really last night and by the time I took a shower and put pajamas on, I was out for the count.

I haven't slept like that since I was a kid, after a fresh whoopin'. Something about the sting and crying myself to sleep, hit different.

I looked at the time and it was 8am sharp.

I stretched my body as I released a sound of relief.

"Papí!" My Mom yelled as she heard me make a noise.

I took a deep breath before sitting up at the edge of the bed.

"¿Qué onda Ma?" I replied.

"Come try this new juice I made, you're gonna like this one!" She yelled back.

"Ugh" I sighed to myself.

My moms has been trying new things out and she has me and the rest of the family stressed.

She's on a health kick because my little cousin told her that her butt was big and then my Aunt made it worse by saying my mom looks like she gained 15 pounds in the face.

Now I have to try all these funny tasting and smelling new recipes that she puts together and my stomach can't take it anymore.

"Dame un chin de jugo, Give me just a little bit" I told her as I entered the kitchen.

She poured some in a small coffee mug and slid the cup across the counter.

I braced myself before I took it straight to the head.

Words couldn't begin to describe the emotion that I'm feeling right now.

"Ma I was trying to be nice, but I'm not doing this anymore" I whined.

"Why?" She asked with a straight face.

She can't be serious.

"Because it doesn't taste good" I told her honestly."

"Get out of my kitchen!" She yelled.

"Ma" i laughed.

"Ahora!"

"Okay, okay" I laughed.

I went outside and sat on my stoop. It was just neither day with nothing to do.

As time goes on, everyone is finding different things to do with their lives.

Gina works at her Uncles Bodega, Alex is doing his DJ stuff, Myles decided to go back to school, Lena just graduated and then there's me.

I've tried many things but nothing is grabbing my attention. I worked at a movie theatre, news stand, I even was a janitor at Brooklyn Tech Hugh so I know a thing or two about hustling.

And it's cool and all but if you don't truly love something, you can never learn to enjoy it.

The older I get, I'm understanding how important it is to have something going for yourself.

I'll think about something, sooner than later.

"Papi please get the phone!" My mom yelled from her bedroom window, upstairs.
