Seraphina's POV

Woaba Boba, Wellston Town, 3:56PM

"As of lately, many criminals have been arrested by the authorities for attacking both low-tier and mid-tier towns. All suspects were found in each individual town tied up with rope and seemed to look like they were unconscious for a long period of time." A woman with indigo hair and cerulean eyes said on the television. "Now, let's turn to our viewers' opinions, shall we?"

"What do you think of the authorities' recent findings of these criminals, Mister?" She turned over her microphone to an older looking man with shaggy grayish brown hair.

"Hmph. It's about time the authorities have done something about this. Honestly, they talk big, but their actions suggest otherwise." He replied, crossing his arms.

"What interesting thoughts..." The woman commented with a slight frown on her face. "Any other words you would like to say?"

"Well, at least they're better than those Superheroes, that's for sure." He added. "The authorities may be a bit slow, but these so-called heroes can't seem to understand that what they're doing is just bringing more harm than help to people like us. The entire reason why EMBER is getting so close to Wellston's area is because these Superheroes keep on showing up and causing that damned organization to come closer."

"Excellent answer." The woman's frown had disappeared upon the older man's words and was now grinning. She turned back to look at the camera. "After all, the authorities are doing their best to keep us safe. This is Jocelyn Peres from Wellston News, signing off."

I took a sip of my boba tea, then sighed. Yet another person claiming that Superheroes are nothing but trouble. What a goddamn lie that is. First, they do nothing to contact Remi for news of her older brother, then they ignore finding the true source of my ability loss and give the excuse that "we have found nothing yet." Pft. What a bunch of useless information.

"It's so disappointing that the authorities take the credit of capturing these criminals when the real bringers of justice are the Superheroes." I said to myself out loud, using my fingernails to scratch the surface of the table. "It's not fair at all."

"That's just the way it is." I looked up to see Arlo sipping his coffee.

I raised an eyebrow. "You seem to be quite calm about this. Aren't you upset at all? Don't forget, you're a Superhero too."

"Of course I'm upset, Seraphina." He responded boldly. "After seeing those low-tier towns, along with the pain and the hardships that those citizens were forced to endure up close, I realized that they really didn't deserve it. I understand it now. They do need urgent help."

"Woah. And here I thought you were the same stuck-up king in your pretty little palace." I was a bit shocked by what Arlo had told me. Then, I smiled gently. "Guess you really have changed for the better, huh?"

I took another huge sip as I continued to talk to Arlo. "So, I heard that you guys are a big group of heroes now? Y'know, with you, Remi, Blyke, Isen, and Elaine?"
