Gally pulled back a metal vent, revealing a hole in the concrete. It was a secret tunnel. He put a ladder down in it.

"Be careful, Thomas." Jorge told him.

"Gally, you take care of these two." Frypan said.

"Yeah." he said in response, then went down the ladder.

Newt put on a red jacket and sat down to tie his shoe. Then, his right hand started to shake for some reason. He clutched it into a fist to make it stop.

Mallory walked over to Newt.

"You know I'd come with you if I could." she said.

"Yeah, but it's too dangerous." Newt said as he stood up.

"Newt, I can-" Mallory started to say.

"I know, fight your own battles. But, remember what Lawrence said about that so-called legend. If one person in that city sees your necklace, then we'll have a bigger problem on our hands. You need to stay here." Newt said.

"Right, so that you guys can protect me at all costs." Mallory said in annoyance, then started to walk away.

"That's not what I'm saying. I didn't mean-" Newt said, going after her.

"You know what? It doesn't matter. Just go, so that we can figure out a plan." Mallory said, then walked out of sight.

"Newt, come on. We gotta go." Thomas said to get his friend's attention.

He turned around, and went down into the tunnel with Thomas and Gally.

"Eww. This is gross." Newt said in disgust.

"Geez. Yeah, this is great." Thomas said sarcastically.

Gally flipped a light switch, which turned on a strand of lights to illuminate the dark tunnel.

"Stay with me. We got a ways to go." he said to the two of them.

At the WICKED building
Teresa was looking at two different cells under a microscope. One was red, while the other was blue. The red cells represents the Flare virus.

A doctor walked up to her. It was the same one that she observed testing Minho.

"We're ready." he told her.

With that, Teresa went to a different laboratory. She walked up to a girl laying on a chair on the other side of the room. She was infected with the Flare virus because she had Crank veins all over her face, arms, and legs.

"Hi, Cheyenne." Teresa said to get her attention.

"Hi, Miss Teresa." she croaked.

"Hey. How are you feeling?" Teresa asked her as she held her hand.

"Okay." Cheyenne answered.

A nurse rubbed a spot on her arm with a sponge, then handed Teresa a medical tool that contained the new serum.

"Is that gonna make me better?" Cheyenne asked when she noticed the tool.

Teresa looked at her in the eye.

"I hope so." she said with hope.

"Do you remember the story you were telling me? About the house you grew up in?" Teresa asked.

"I don't remember." Cheyenne croaked.
