Jorge flew the berg back to the Right Arm's new base. It was at an abandoned ship yard by the coastline.

Someone used a metal saw to cut the train car's door open. Thomas, Newt, and Harriet walked in to see about fifty, petrified kids in the train car. Bright sunlight made its way into the car as well. Thomas and Newt saw the abundance of kids, trying to find Minho. That was, until they spotted two people that they knew.

Sonya and Aris!

"Aris! Are you guys okay?" Thomas asked them.

"Yeah, we're fine." Sonya answered.

Harriet bent down and hugged her two best friends that she hasn't seen in months.

"It's okay. You guys are safe. Alright, just hang on." Thomas assured the kids.

Him and Newt walked down the aisle of the train car, scanning every kid to see if Minho was there. It wasn't until they got down to the other end of the car.

"He's not here." Thomas said.

Newt didn't say anything in response.

They felt so disappointed in themselves. They both know that it's not going to be easy to break this news to their other friends.

The two boys got themselves together to help get the kids free of their handcuffs. All of the kids walked out of the train car together and sat down on big pieces of concrete.

Thomas leaned up against a wall and listened to Vince speaking to the kids.

"Hey, guys. Alright, listen up. I know you've all been through a lot. I wish I can say our troubles are over, but we're not through this yet. WICKED's still out there, they're not giving up because you got something they want. They took you because you're immune to a plague that's wiping out the human race, and they think you're worth sacrificing to find a cure. Well, I don't. So, in two days, when we get this big ship seaworthy, we're getting out of here. We're gonna go to a place where WICKED will never find you. A place you can start over, a place you can call home." Vince preached.

Thomas couldn't stop thinking about Minho, so he walked away to find his friends.

Brenda was reading a book beside Jorge, who was looking at the damage in his truck. She looked over to her left and saw Thomas walking by. Jorge stepped back from the truck. He checked on Brenda's leg, where she got bit by a Crank back in the Scorch. Surprisingly, looks like it almost completely healed up.

"May I help you?" Brenda asked.

"It looks good. How do you feel?" Jorge said to her.

"Awesome." she answered.

"I'm just asking." Jorge said.

"I know, I know. You're just asking, everybody's just asking. Don't worry. If I Crank out, you'll be the first to know, okay?" Brenda said as she got up from her seat.
