Mallory enjoyed the dream so much that she was smiling in her sleep until it was the next morning. Joel looks at his daughter still sound asleep in bed. He smiles, then goes over to her.
"Good morning, love bug." Joel whispered.
That made Mallory open up her eyes and the dream ended.
"You were smiling in your sleep. You must have been dreaming about something amazing." Joel said.
Mallory sat up in the bed, thinking about her dream.
"It was beautiful. I think it was of you and Mom singing." she said.
That made Joel turn around with shock written all over his face and sat down next to his daughter on the bed.
"What? What do you mean?" he questioned as he took her hand into his.
"I had a dream of you and a woman, thinking it was Mom, and you two were singing a beautiful song by a small lake." Mallory explained.
Joel then went over to his nightstand and pulled out the family photograph from the drawer.
"Is this who saw in your dream?" he asked, handing her the photo and pointed to the person who appears to be her mother.
"Yes. That was her." she confirmed after examining the image for a few seconds.
