Chapter Three
; The attack
The next day, Glenn and I were watching Dale and Jim tear apart the red car.
"Vultures." Glenn said shaking his head, I laughed and patted his back. "Thought I'd atleast get to drive it one more day."
"Maybe we can steal another one some day." Rick said coming up behind us.
"Hey Harper?" Glenn asked and I turned to look at him. "I got you something." He said and handed me a box.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Open it." He whispered with a smile on his face.
I opened it to reveal the necklace from the store, I smiled and picked it up out of the box, I handed the box to Glenn.
"Oh, Glenn." I said looking up at him with tears eyes. "Its beautiful, thank you." I said hugging him tightly.
"Your welcome, want me to help?" He asked and I nodded.
"Please." I said giving him the necklace and turning around.
His hands brushed against my neck, sending chills down my back. I smiled when he placed a kiss on my shoulder, but my stomach was flapping around with butterflies.
Shane pulled up harshly in his jeep. "Waters here y'all, just a reminder to boil before use." He said getting out.
Glenn and I walked to the jeep and pulled out the jugs, we walked to the fire, it had a pot and the fire was already going. I poured some in the pot and started on boiling the water.
A scream rang off through the woods, Glenn and I grabbed something closest to us and ran off with the others.
"Carl?" Lori yelled.
"Mom! Dad!" Carl yelled back.
The rest of us ran to find a walker eating on a deer, everyone started beating on the walker till Dale swiped its head clean off.
There was rustling in the trees and we held up our weapons, Daryl walked out and I put mine down. Than I remembered we left his brother..
"Son of a bitch. Thats my deer! Look at it all gnawed on by this filthy disease bearing motherless proxy bastard!" Daryl exclaimed kicking it.
"Calm down son thats not helping." Dale said.
"What do you know about it old man?" Daryl asked getting in Dales face, Rick and Shane shoved him back.
