Chapter Ten

Lori walked up to Harper with a unreadable facial expression.

"I'm going out to find them." Lori said and Harper's eyes widened.

"What?! Are you crazy!?" She whisper yelled.

"No, I'm going." Lori said, Harper shook her head.

"Be safe." Harper whispered and Lori smiled.

"I will." Lori said running out of the house.

Shane went off to find Lori after snapping at Harper for not telling anyone.

Harper was laying on her bed almost asleep with Alexis in her arms, her eyes were drooping and too heavy to keep up.

She rubbed the baby's back and sung a soft tune to her.

"Hey, you putting her to bed?" Beth asked as she walked in.

"Yeah, I'm also going to bed, wake me up when they get back." Harper said, Beth nodded and walked out.

"Goodnight baby." Harper whispered before falling asleep.

Glenn, Rick and Hershel pulled up right when Shane, Andrea and T-dog were about to go looking for them. Lori and Carl ran up to Rick, Maggie went to hug her dad. Glenn was looking around for Harper, Maggie saw him looking around and went up to him, but stopped when she saw someone in the truck.

"Who's that?" She asked looking at the boy.

"That's Randall." Glenn said.

"Patricia prep the barn for surgrey." Hershel said walking into the house.

"Maggie? Where's Harper?" Glenn asked still looking around.

"In her room asleep." Maggie said walking up to the house with him.

"Thanks." Glenn said running up into the house.

When Glenn walked in the room he saw Harper asleep and the baby cuddled up next to her, wrapped in a blanket. He smiled and kicked his shoes off, he gently got in bed and wrapped his arm around her waist, he gave her head a kiss than layed his head down to go to sleep.

"Glenn? Is that you?" Harper asked tensing up.

"Yeah, its me." He whispered and she turned around with the baby to face him. "Hello beautiful." He whispered.

"Me? Or the baby?" Harper smiled.

"The baby obviously." He smiled and she scoffed.

"Wow, okay." She said smiling.

"Both of you guys, your both beautiful." He whispered, Harper smiled and kissed him softly.

Glen kissed back as he gently rubbed circles on her lower back, Harper smiled and pulled back. "What happened out there?" She asked.

"Some guys tried to jump us, we took on of them because he was hurt." Glenn explained, Harper furrowed her brows and sat up looking at him.

"Why did you bring him here? We have children we need to protect! He can't stay here." Harper said getting up.

"Harper will you wait." Glenn said putting pillows around Alexis.

Harper slid on her boots and ran down stairs, her dad and Rick were already talking. Harper was scared to say, anyone could come for him. And she didn't want that to happen, she had a baby now. And her group was her family- she couldn't let them get hurt.

"Dad! Rick, what were you guys thinking? He can't stay here! I have a baby to take care of!" She said walking up to them.

"Your dad just fixed his leg, then when he can walk we're sending him out." Rick said, Harper scoffed and shook her head.

"If he has a group they'll come for him! I have to take care of my baby! Rick you have a wife and son you need to think about, dad, you need to think about your girls, you should've left him." She exclaimed, Rick looked at her and than at the ground.

"Left him to die?!?" Hershel said and she nodded.

"If that's what it takes to protect my family, than yes." Harper said, she than turned away and went outside.

Harper needed to cool off, she went to the woods and climbed a tree, she didn't know what she was gonna do, she had her bow on her back- Daryl found one and gave it to her. Daryl also gave her some arrows he made, something moved up a tree and it caught her eye, a squirrel. She grabbed her bow and a arrow, she aimed at it and shot the arrow. The arrow went through its back, pinning it to the tree. 

She sighed and hopped off the tree walking to the game, she grabbed her arrow and took the squirrel by its tail and started walking back to the farm. Daryl saw her and walked up, she handed him the game and he nodded at her as a thanks, she smiled and went back to the house. 

She ran up the stairs and walked in her room, Glenn was feeding the baby sitting against the head board of the bed. She took of her bow and the quiver and set them by her dresser, she walked up to the bed and sat down next to Glenn, who was staring at Alexis like she was his own.

"I promise I'll protect you guys with my whole life." He whispered, Harper smiled and nodded.

"I know you will." She whispered, Glenn looked up at her and put his hand on the side of her face, he caressed her cheek and smiled.

"I love you so much." He whispered, Harper smiled and kissed his hand.

"I love you too." She whispered, Glenn brought her face to his and kissed her lovingly.

Harper pulled back slowly, and locked eyes with him, she smiled and pecked his lips again before laying her head on his shoulder and looking at their baby. Glenn smiled at the two of them before moving to put the baby in her make shift crib.

"Are you tired?" Harper asked.

"Yeah, I am." Glenn said, he walked to the dresser and pulled out two t-shirts.

He threw one to Harper, he than started undressing himself, leaving him in only boxers and a shirt, Harper was in her underwear and shirt. Glenn walked back to the bed and layed down with her, he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her against his body, Harper placed her hands on his and closed her eyes.

"Goodnight beautiful." He whispered.

"Goodnight Glenn." She whispered back before letting the darkness take over.

A/N: I don't know what she should call him, Babe, Baby, Handsome, Honey, Prince. Idk, Comment some names please. -Savannah
