Chapter Eighteen

Once everyone was back, Harper was hugging Glenn and they waited for Maggie, Carl and Lori.

A baby's wail snapped them out of their thoughts, they all turned around to see Maggie and Carl but no Lori.

"W-where is she?" Rick asked looking at them.

They both stayed quiet, Rick started to go but Maggie stopped him and shook her head.

"No! No! No, no." Rick dropped to his knees and started crying.

"Let me see the baby." Hershel said, Maggie walked over to her dad and handed him the baby. "She looks good- Rick?" He called.

Rick walked into the cell block that Maggie and Carl were in, Harper hid her face in Glenn's shirt as she cried.

"She needs formula or she won't survive." Hershel said looking around.

"I'll go." Daryl said and grabbed his cross bow.

"I will too." Maggie said and walked away with Daryl.

"Come on Harper." Glenn whispered and they all started walking back into the cell.

Once they were all in, Harper took one of Alexis's old onezi's and put it on the new baby, she than started rocking her back and fourth as she cried.

Maggie and Daryl came in with more formula and baby stuff, Daryl took the baby and started feeding her.

Harper and Glenn walked to their cell to see that Alexis was asleep and so was Franki.

Harper smiled and layed on the bed with Glenn who looked tired as hell, it didn't take long for the couple to fall asleep.

Harper woke up to Alexis crying, she graoned as she sat up, she grabbed a bottle and started making a bottle for her than walked put of the cell with her to let Glenn sleep.

Everyone was in eating area, Daryl and Carol were feeding 'little ass kicker' that's what Daryl calls her.

Beth served Harper some oatmeal and sat down with her own bowl, Rick walked in with blood all over himself.

"How is everyone?" He asked, Harper stood up and made her way to him.

She grabbed a rag and went to clean his face, he flinched at the contact but relaxed afterwards.

Harper was so caught up in cleaning his face, neck, arms that she didn't realize Glenn was staring at her with a questioning glance.

More like a jealous one.

"There, done." Harper said walking to the sink.

"Harper can we talk?" Glenn asked coming up to her.

"Yeah sure, let's go in our cell." She said walking back to their cell. "Whats u-" she started but Glenn cut her off.

"Do you have feelings for Rick?" He asked, his face was serious not a hint of joking behind it.

"No, why?" She asked leaning against the wall.

"Your always around him, and today when he could've cleaned himself you did it for him, l-like you wanted to be there for him- with him." Glenn rambled on, he started pacing.

"Glenn! The man just lost his wife! I'm helping because he does everything for us! Now stop being jealous, you know I love you, and only you." She said than stormed out, leaving Glenn standing there until he went after her.

"Wait! Harper!" He called, he turned a corner and saw her eating her breakfast. "Harper-"

"Go away." She said looking down.

"Please I-" He started but Hershel cut him off.

"She asked you to leave son, respect her wishes." He said calmly looking at his daughter and her boyfriend.

Glenn looked down and walked away from them, Harper looked at her dad and smiled at him.

"Thanks." She whispered, Herhsel nodded.

"What was that about?" He asked confused, Harper sighed.

"He thinks I like Rick." Harper said, Hershel looked confused than started laughing. "I don't see what's funny." Harper frowned.

"Does he not see how in love you are with him?" Hershel asked still chuckling.

"Dad! This isn't helping!" Harper groaned and stood up.

"Just go talk to him." Hershel said seriously.

"Fine." Harper said and walked back to their cell to see Glenn and Maggie talking, Glenn held out a ring and Maggie gasped and took it.

"Yes, I will marry you, Glenn Rhee." Maggie said looking over at him, laughing.

Glenn laughed and looked up to see Harper standing there with her eyes wide, and glossy.

"Harper." He whispered standing up.

"I knew it." Harper whispered and walked started walking away.

"No, Harper wait!" Glenn followed after her, Harper shook her head and ran out of the prison with Glenn right on her tail.

"Go away." Harper whispered when he sat next to her.

"Harper, she was jok-" Glenn started but Harper cut him off.

"Just go, go be with Maggie." Harper whispered looking out into the field.

"Look at me." Glenn whispered but she didn't look at him. "God damn it Harper! Look at me!" He raised his voice.

Harper sighed and turned to him, her eyes were glossed over and red, Glenn took her hand and slid the ring on.

"Its for you, I was gonna ask you." He whispered, he than dropped her hand and looked away.

"R-really?" She asked looking at the ring.

"I am so in love with you, and if you don't see that, your blind as hell." Glenn said cupping her face. "Marry me?" He asked, his lips close to hers.

Harper nodded looking I'm his eyes. "Yes, of course." She said and kissed him.

When they pulled back Glenn looked at her with a adoring smile, a smile that made Harper want to smile.

"I love you so much Harper." He whispered cupping her face.

"I love you so so much Glenn." She whispered pecking his lips again. "Harper faith Rhee.. That actually sounds right!" She smiled at him.

"It does." Glenn whispered and than kissed her again.
