Thirty-Five

Harper woke up to Alexis crying, she sat up and looked around, she was in the rv.

She looked to her side to see Alexis looking up at her, Harper smiled and picked her up.

"Hi baby, what's wrong?" She whispered, Alexis started dozing off again.

Harper stood up and walked out of the little room in the rv. She saw mostly everyone.

"Where's Glenn?" She asked, making everyone except Abraham look at her since he was driving.

"He's in the other car." Carl told her, Harper moved forward and didn't see a car infront of them, or behind them.

"Where?" She asked, Abraham sighed and looked at Rosita.

"They got caught in a heard." Rosita told her, Harper swore her breathing stopped. "Harper you need to breathe, we'll hold down somewhere and they'll find us, their with Aaron." Rosita told her, Harper nodded and walked back in the room quietly.

She layed Alexis back down and started packing, the rv stopped and she walked out of the room.

"This is where we're holding up-" Daryl started to say until he got cut off by a flare. "What the hell?" He mumbled, he opened the door and jumped out, Harper, Abraham and Rosita followed him.

"Help! Help me!" A scream came, Harper ran towards it and saw a man stuck under a tire of the car with a girl sitting next to him.

"I'm trying, I'm trying." She mumbled, Harper ran over and helped her lift the tire.

"Oh thank you." He sighed clutching his ankle, Harper nodded and untied his shoes before carefully taking it off.

"It's okay, it looks sprained though." Harper said, she looked up at the girl. "I'm Harper, you are?" She asked them both, the male smiled.

"I'm Eric, this is my boyfriends little sister Rose." Eric said, Harper smiled and nodded. "She's not supposed to be here, but she followed us." He rolled his eyes making the girl scoff.

"Wait, are you with Aaron?" Harper asked, Eric nodded with a smile.

"Where is he?" He asked, Harper sighed and looked at Daryl.

"He's in another car. I'm sure he'll be here soon." Harper said, Eric nodded and let Harper help him up, with the help of the teen of course.

"Okay, bring him in that building." Maggie said, Harper nodded but stopped, she groaned and her hand flew to her stomach. "Harper?" Naggie asked, Harper looked at Daryl and he immediately took Eric.

"W-what's wrong with her?" Rose asked, Maggie looked at her sister.

"She's pregnant and she lost one of her babies." Maggie said, Harper bent over and threw up, Maggie walked over to her and held her hair back.

"I want Glenn." Harper whispered, Maggie held her softly.

"I know you do." Maggie whispered, Harper held her stomach in pain as she cried.

"Why does it still hurt Mags?" Harper cried, Maggie sniffled and kissed her twins head.

"I don't know Harp." Maggie whispered, just than Daryl whistled and Harper looked behind her.

"Harper!" Glenn yelled, he pushed himself to run faster towards his wife. "What's wrong? Are you okay?" He asked, Harper shook her head as another tear fell down her face.

"I-it hurts. E-everything hurts. My heart, my stomach, I feel like I can't breathe." Harper cried, Glenn picked her up bridal style and held her close to him.

"It's gonna be okay baby." Glenn whispered, Harper cried and leaned her head on her husband's shoulder. "You're upset about the one you've lost." Glenn whispered, Harper nodded and stood up.

"I'm okay." Harper told him, Glenn nodded and they both walked inside.

Harper layed down by Alexis and closed her eyes, letting the sleep consume her.

"Goodnight love." Glenn whispered, he walked over to Rick, who was on watch.

"Everything okay?" Rick asked, Glenn looked down and sighed shakily.

"N-no it's not." He stuttered, Rick nodded and placed his hand on Glenn's back.

"It'll be alright." Rick whispered, Glenn's shoulders shook as he cried, still upset about the loss of one of his unborn child.

"It won't be Rick. I'm not a g-good husband, or dad. H-how will I ever be able to take care of my unborn child?" Glenn asked looking up, Rick sighed and glanced behind Glenn.

"Glenn," A small whisper of the woman he loves came from behind him, Glenn jumped around and stared at her. "You're a great husband and father. There's nothing we could've done for the one we lost." Harper whispered cupping his face, Rick snuck out to leave them alone.

"I feel so horrible for putting you through everything I have Harp." Glenn cried, Harper smiled and wiped his tears.

"It's okay love, I love you so much. And that will never change." Harper whispered, Glenn sniffled and Harper stood on her tippy toes and kissed him. "It's okay Glenn, we're gonna be okay." Harper whispered, Glenn nodded and put his hand on her stomach.

He bent down face to face with her stomach and placed a small kiss on it, Harper smiled and ran her fingers through his hair.

"I will protect you guys with my life little one." He whispered, Harper smiled wider and had tears in her eyes.

"We should go to bed Glenn." Harper whispered, Glenn nodded and grabbed her hand.

They made their way to the rv and locked it, Harper layed down on the bed and closed her eyes.

"Shit, I'm going to go get Alex." Glenn said, Harper chuckled and closed her eyes.

Glenn ran into the building and saw Alexis sleeping with Judy in a basket, Glenn smiled and picked her up.

"You guys sleeping in the rv?" Rick asked, Glenn nodded and kissed his baby's head.

"I think it'd be good for her and the baby to sleep on the bed, I'll lock the door, just knock in the morning and I'll open it. Or better yet, here." Glenn said, throwing the keys to Rick.

"Okay, see you in the morning." Rick said, Glenn smiled and walked out, he walked into the rv and closed the door, he locked it and smiled at his wife who was already asleep.

Glenn layed Alexis down in her makeshift crib, which was a tub and blankets.

He layed down next to Harper and wrapped his arms around her stomach, pulling her to his chest gently.

"I love you." He whispered in her ear, Harper smiled faintly.

"I love you too." She whispered, Glenn chuckled.

"Sorry I woke you." He whispered, but Harper didn't answer, Glenn smiled and kissed her head softly.
