I was crying.

Hearing Julian and Mare talk had been wonderful and his words had brought more tears to my eyes. But what had really done it, was Mare saying she wanted to name her baby after me.

Mare didn't know me, only knew stories of me told by Julian and Cal, yet she was still naming her child after me.

Ti dying had caused me utter heartbreak, even though I had never met him. Now, with him sitting on my lap, I didn't know how Mare had coped so well.

"Grandma," Ti said, tugging in my sleeve. "Mama?" He asked, pointing it Mare down below us.

"Yes, that's your mama," I told him, smiling at his adorable expression.

"Wanna see her! Me wanna see Mama!" Ti cried and I face fell. He didn't understand; he was too young.

"I'm sorry, baby," I said "We have to stay here."

"No! I wanna be with Mama. Let me go!" I hated having to tell him he couldn't be with his mother but I had no choice.

Tibe took him from my lap and started distracting him so he wasn't looking at Mare.

You couldn't explain how death worked to a two year old, they simply didn't have the mental capacity to understand. And that killed me. Ti got upset every time he saw Mare, wanting to be with her.

The same happened when he saw Cal, though not so extremely as they hadn't been together very long.

Which made it so much worse. Ti had been ripped away from them when they were all so young.

Maria still hadn't faced justice for her actions, though I wasn't sure what Cal and Mare were planning to do to her once she was caught again. Perhaps I didn't want to know.

But looking at the two now, I could see they were piecing each other back together, slowly, but progress was still being made.

Losing anyone was terrible, especially a child bit life still carried on whether you liked it or not. So they had no choice but to get back up and carry on.

And I knew that together they could do just that.
