I was shaken awake by Eve who was crouched down next to me.
"Mare, are you alright? You were shouting and screaming."
"I'm fine, it was just a nightmare," I tried to convince myself more than Eve. I was fine. Elara was dead and so was Maven and neither of them are coming back.
"I didn't know you still had nightmares. Why didn't you tell me?"
"I did't want to worry you."
"Don't be stupid. How often do you have them?"
"Every time I fall asleep."
"Oh Mare."
We were interrupted by the impact of the plane as it landed. "Where's Ti?" I asked, noticing he was not next to me.
"Wren has him over there," Eve told me.
The flight attendant was opening the door so I stood up with Eve and made my way towards it. I looked out at one of the Nortan airfields. A purple sky stretched above us as the day drew to a close. Based on the estimated flight length it was around 8 in the evening though I wasn't sure since I didn't have a watch. Physically, nothing seemed to have changed. That's when I saw him, standing next to another, older man.

So, what do you think so far? I know not much has happened yet but it will start to soon. I also apologise for this very short chapter but I'm about to write a chapter from Cal's POV a little bit before this, this part and when they meet each other.
