Seeing the two of them, Cal and Mare, leaving Cal's room after their night together with big goofy grins on their faces makes me sick.

Mare carrying their child. Ugh. After everything they did for each other they still left but they forgive each other. After Mare tore my family apart. I hate her.

"I forgot my jacket," Cal said suddenly. "I'll meet you at breakfast," he said to Mare before turning to head back to his room, their room, I don't know.
"Ok, see you soon," Mare said before carrying the boy down the corridor.

A few minutes later, Cal walked back out of his room and down the corridor, wearing a jacket.

I rounded the corner into the corridor looking down as if I hadn't been stood there. My face was blank and composed as a maid's should be. I can't believe I have to pose like this. I am no maid. I don't bow to anyone.

I forgot to pay attention to where I was walking and walk smack into Cal. All I wanted to do was go check out his room.

"Woah," he said. "I'm sorry, I didn't see you there."
"No my mistake, Your Majesty," I said curtsying and glancing up at him, acting timid but really just wanting to see his expression.

Cal's face was frozen in shock. No one's called him Your Majesty in a long time.

"I am not King," he replied.
"But you should have been, right? That was your destiny."
"Was," he emphasised.
"Oh right, you lost your crown."
"Who do you think you are!" Cal yelled angrily. It was hard to stop myself from smirking. I kept my face composed, I had been trained during my upbringing.
"Just a slave to the crown," I answered and walked off before Cal could say anything else.

There's no need to visit his room, I've gotten under Cal's skin enough for one day. He didn't recognise me. Not that I thought he would, the only times I ever saw him was when we were both very very young. Of course I saw him when he was older but me, he never saw me after my father and aunt hid me away. I was powerful, and they wanted to keep me hidden, especially with the war they knew was brewing. They were right. I stayed away during all the fighting and it kept me safe.

Now my family is dead.

I will have my revenge.
