Death really wasn't as bad as people thought.

You're reunited with your loved ones and that's all I ever wanted, to be happy with those I loved.

I sat with my husband, holding his hand, looking down at my son with his son, my grandson.

Cal looked so happy, I'm so proud of him and everything he has done. For such a young man, he carries such a weight on his shoulders.

But now he has Mare back and she brought with her a son. Ti. He looks so like Cal. But there are obviously parts of Mare in there too.

"Dada," Ti says and it makes me want to cry. It's such a beautiful moment, the first time Cal has spent alone with Ti. He will make an excellent father. Ti is a lucky boy.

"He looks so happy," I say to Tibe, resting my head on his shoulder.
"He does," he agrees.

They were happy, we were happy, I was happy, as long as they get a moment of peace. Their lives have already been filled with more pain and loss than anyone should ever have to face. I could only hope and pray nothing else went wrong for my son or his family. If it does, I will be watching, helping in every way I can.
