We were going to have a movie day at the end of the school year.
Each student was to bring in a snack for a corresponding classmate, who we'd sit next to for the movie.
My partner was for Janiece.
Weeks later, the Teacher asked us to exchange snacks.
And my stomach fell.
I had forgot.
My Teacher glared at me. "Now she doesn't have anything."
She started the movie, and everyone got to sit with a friend,
and, as punishment, I had to sit by myself.
My Teacher took the snack from my partner and gave it to Janiece.
