Jessica and I had a falling out around 8th or 9th Grade.
One day she sat at the cheer team, and I accused her of leaving us behind. The next, I was sitting with them, and she said the same thing. Truly high school girl drama.
We didn't talk or hang out. And my mother should've known this.
One day Jessica called. "Can I talk to your mom?"
"Okay..." I brought the phone to her.
And of course I eavesdropped from the other side of the door. My Mother sounded really excited. "Yes, sure I'll do it!"
I bounded into her bedroom. I needed to know what happened.
"Jessica wants to form a dance team. She asked if I'd be the coach."
We argued, and after a day or two of complaining, she finally backed out.
