It was the best time in town.
They had a city-wide garage sale, and they shut down the main street for a dance.
The divorce was finalized, and my mother was getting married.
This year, we were having a garage sale to get rid of the things she didn't want to move.
I went for a walk, something I did pretty often. I just went around the block, and as I neared the corner, a car full of teenage boys slowed for the stop sign and honked.
"Nice ass!" They chorused before literally howling.
I stopped and stared. Not really sure what to do.
Laughing, they sped off.
Also, the town I'm from is really small. They probably knew I was still in middle school.
Once I couldn't see their car anymore I ran home, and I told my Mother about it.
I was expecting her to be mad, but instead she laughed.
"Well, that's just part of growing up."
