It was Sunday afternoon and Kamari had just left church with his family, and now he was heading to Sorai's house because she asked him too.
Surprisingly his parents weren't upset about his new changes. They were just shocked and very curious as to why their son was changing. He didn't tell them about Sorai, he just said he wanted to switch things up before college. Which was the first time he's ever lied to his parents. They didn't think to much into it since Kamari was such a good kid. His mother was definitely side eyeing him though.
After his makeover yesterday Sorai and him went to the mall and met up with her cousin Dj, and he helped Kamari by putting him onto game about how he should start dressing and what he should buy when he does go shopping. He learned about which clothing brands were in style, which shoe brands he should start getting into, and how jewelry can make a basic fit stylish. He even taught him the basics of how to match clothes and shoes together.
Just like his father, Dj was very nice, funny, and extremely laidback. Everything he said, Kamari took note and paid attention. He even paid attention to how he moved, how he was confident in everything he did and everything he said. Kamari could already see a little difference in how he started getting more attention because he peeped a few girls staring at him and smiling his way.
Sorai ended up convincing him to buy new clothes and shoes so he can complete the physical makeover. Dj picked things out for him, of course asking Kamari if he liked items or not, and Kamari ended up spending about 700 dollars overall on new clothes, 5 pairs of shoes, and some real earrings.
She gave him a homework assignment to start taking old clothes out his closet and to slowly replace them with new things that he liked. She stressed the importance of taking care of his appearance, cause as he's been getting told left and right, "when you look good, you feel good". She also told him when it comes to what he wants, if he got it, he should get it.
He would be lying if he wasn't a little excited about this makeover. He's never really focused on himself nor really cared too and he was enjoying it. He really liked the way he looked, he never felt that way before.
Parking outside of Sarai's house, Kamari licked his lips nervously and ran his hand down his waves. He's never been to a girls house before let alone a house as nice as this one.
