Kamari "Mari"

Kamari entered the cafeteria on a mission as his eyes scanned the room, looking specifically for Gabrielle.

It's been 4 days since he last seen Sorai and it wasn't how he wanted to see her. It scared him seeing her have an episode, especially not understanding what has happened to her since he walked out of her life. Her mother came and got her, and that was the last he saw of her. She hadn't returned to school and not knowing what was going on with her, distracted him completely.

He couldn't focus on shit.

After the fight he was escorted to the principals office by the police and was prepared for the worst. He had no regrets about what he did to Westin, however before his principal even had the chance to really say anything his coach stormed in with his teammates that witnessed the fight. His coach and his teammates spoke on behalf of him, defending his actions. Which is something Kamari was shocked about, he fully expected to be kicked off the team. His coach did not play about breaking school rules.

The principal heard everyone out before asking Kamari what happened. He explained what he saw and that he was only defending Sorai, which was partially true. Soon as he seen Westin near her, his blood boiled in a way it hadn't before. He wanted to beat his ass on sight. But of course the principal didn't need to know about Sorai's and his past relations.

With this fight being Kamari's first offense and watching the security cameras to check on the facts of this story, the principal decided not to suspend or expel Kamari. However due to Westin's injuries, some kind of disciplinary action needed to be taken, so he informed Kamari he would not be allowed to attend prom and that he was suspended from playing in the next game, which was senior night.

This sucked completely, but Kamari had to take it like a slap on the wrist. Missing prom was something he didn't give a fuck about, but not being able to celebrate senior night with his teammates really upset him.

Still he had no regrets.

He spotted Gabrielle's signature blond hair, and beside her was Jahlil. He seemed to be consoling her, a huge frown on his face. It's been a while since he had spoken to Gabrielle but today that would end, because he needed to know what was going on with Sorai. The way she was crying, barely being able to breathe or talk, how skinny she had looked, everything about her was haunting him.

He quickly made his way over to them, ignoring his name being called from a few of his other associates. Reaching the table he captured Jahlils attention first, sitting across from them.

"Wassup Kam? You good bro?" Jahlil questioned, shocked to see him at their lunch table.

He nodded his head and Gabrielle looked up from her lunch tray, sadness written all over her face as her and Kamari met eyes.

"I'll give you two time to talk cause y'all need too, plus I gotta run to my English class anyway and resubmit this paper before this bitch drop my grade." Jahlil said as he quickly stood up, planting a quick kiss on Gabrielles forehead before taking off without another word.

It was silent between the two for a few seconds before Gabrielle blew out some air, ready to clear the air.

"Hey Kam." She mumbled softly. "You're here about Sorai?"
