Kayden "KD" October 16th, 2021 Saturday - Noon
Kayden stood in front of the mirror in the men's bathroom, fixing his white Ralph Lauren polo shirt with the baby blue horse. The gender reveal started about 15 minutes ago and the last few people were still arriving, but that wasn't shocking when it comes to black people and being on time.
If you show up on time, you're early.
Destiny and Kayden decided to wear all white while their guests wore pink or blue because Destiny didn't like the idea of being a "choosy" parent. She felt the whole team thing as the parent was tasteless, since you would love the child regardless. He only agreed because he didn't want to pick a fight but Kayden was still team boy, as most of their family and friends arriving were as well.
Destiny knew he purposely picked the shirt with the baby blue horse logo but she decided to ignore it, knowing he couldn't help himself. Just like her, he also hated being told what to do. He was gone rep his "Jr." until he couldn't anymore.
On Kayden side his grandparents, cousin Demarcus, and Brandon wore blue. Elijah decided to be funny and wear pink and he didn't know what his dad was repping yet.
He texted him to wear blue though.
Destiny's dad, aunt and uncles, grandparents, and her cousin June wore blue. Ciena and her mother wore pink.
They had a few other family members there as well but team girl was greatly outnumbered, just the way he liked.
The only person who actually knew the gender was his fathers assistant Taylor who helped Kayden put the whole event together. They gave her the envelope and she went and took care of everything. Each guest will receive a confetti gun to shoot over Kayden and Destiny while they circled around them.
"Alright Kayden, you look good. You been doing good. And you're ready to see what you're having." He talked to himself, trying to hype himself up. He would be lying if he said he wasn't nervous. He wanted a boy because he knew he could handle him, but if it was a girl his heart might stop beating.
He didn't know the first thing about raising a girl. Especially when his relationship with most of the women in his life wasn't good. He would still be heavily involved of course he just didn't know what the hell he would do.
