Kamari "Mari" >> Wednesday September 9th, 2020
It was now September.
It's been about 3 weeks since Kamari shared his first kiss with Sorai. That moment was something he was going to remember forever because it was with somebody he cared about. After the kiss, and potentially other kisses, it was like there was a strong shift in their friendship, making them a lot closer than they already were. In sense you could say that they had become best friends.

They were always stealing glances at each other, spotting each other in a room full of people, sometimes ignoring the world around them for each other, being attentive and perceptive to each other's feelings, not being able to stop smiling or laughing at each other. They sometimes struggled with saying goodbye, because they were always together and always having a good time.
Really when they were together they were always in their own world. But that's how comfortable they became with each other. Mari was Sorai's peace, and Rai was Kamari's comfort. On the outside looking in, you would very well assume that they were dating, or clearly had a crush on each other.
Which is why the rumors had returned, but unlike before, neither of them cared to address it this time. That only added fuel to the fire, even Gabrielle, Dj, and Jahlil were starting to side eye them.
Kamari was on cloud nine in his life at the moment. He was able to pass out of two of his AP courses, and now he had a huge free period in school that allowed him to have more time on his hands.
On top of that Jahlil and him had grown a lot closer, joining his hilarious dynamic with Dj. He even grew a little closer to Caleb, which he found crazy, but Caleb wasn't as bad as people assumed. Yeah he had his out of pocket moments, but he was real chill. They bonded over working out and their love for madden. Caleb was also oddly good at giving advice, besides him trying to convince Kamari to join the pimp life.
Kamari figured somebody broke Calebs heart, because his hate for relationships went deep.
On a normal day, if he wasn't with Sorai, he was with Jahlil and Dj, or Caleb. And with Jahlil and Gabi now dating, he sometimes spent time with the both of them together. Gabi had become like a big sister to him, which he loved.
With his more free schedule he decided to do something he's always wanted to do, which is join a sports team. His only options were track & field, basketball, or the swim team. Jahlil brought up the idea first because of how athletic he was, but Kamari ran with it.
