MONTHS LATER THE TRIO WERE wrapping up filming. finn and y/n still going strong and sadie, unfortunately, being a third wheel most of the time.

it was the last week of filming and the whole cast and crew were upset they wouldn't be seeing each other as much after they finished. they all ended up being such a tight knit group.

monday was very blue. everyone had realized it was their last week together and there were a bunch of waterworks, even though finn, sadie and y/n were staying in new york for a little longer for more press.

tuesday and wednesday was grey and depressing. it was getting closer to the end of the week and it had just gotten more and more sad. they had realized that they only had to film once more on thursday and didn't need to come to set on friday, which made it even worse.

thursday was a day that no one cared for much. it wasn't a day anyone wanted to remember. there were lots of tears from everyone, including y/n, finn and sadie even though they would still be seeing each other for months on end.

the trio took one last walk around the set before they left, saying goodbye to their dressing rooms and thinking back on all the memories they had on this set. of course they were all upset that they wouldn't be able to come back here considering all the fun they had.

that night they all went back to y/n's apartment and reminisced on all the memories and laughs they had while filming for the past few months.

friday rolled around after the night had passed much too quickly. y/n had woken up earlier than usual and got ready for her day quietly, not wanting to wake up her best friend and her boyfriend. she went out and did a little shopping while she waited for her friends to awake.

finn and sadie had awoken around the same time that morning. finn has had a feeling in his heart for a couple weeks now, not knowing if it was too soon or not to have this feeling. he had decided to ask sadie about it and for some advice.

"sadie, i think i love y/n," finn blurted out, killing the comfortable silence between them. sadie's eyes went wide as her smile spread far across her face. she had been waiting for this.

"then tell her already!" she exclaimed to the boy.

"well i don't know how to tell her or when to tell her." he was overthinking this whole situation and it was getting on sadie's nerves. she had known how natural it had come out the first time they were dating and was very confused as to why he was so iffy about doing it again.

"tell her tonight! wait for saturday, it will lose its magic and sunday always comes to late but on a friday? you should never hesitate." she told him. "and i'll give you guys some time alone tonight so you can tell her. say it while you two are doing something that you loved to do before you broke up with her for no reason, i just know she'll love it!" sadie was way too invested in this relationship and they both knew it but no one ever brought it up.

"okay, yeah! i'll tell her tonight. thanks saides," finn hugged the redhead in front of him.

"perfect!" she smiled, excited for her two best friends to get back together.

LATER THAT NIGHT, SADIE LEFT finn and y/n alone so finn could do what he's been waiting to do all day. the anxiety slowly getting worse and worse the closer he got to telling her.

they had both got dressed up in fancy clothes once again for entertainment. finn thought y/n had looked so beautiful when she came out dressed up to the eyes. it had been a wonderful surprise when she came out in the dress she wore while they were dancing to 'maybe' over a year ago.

he watched as her spirits rise, her frown turning into a smile as they danced around to some music by the cure, just having fun together. he smiled at the sound of her smile, it always lifting his mood.

they started to spin each other around, y/n shrieking and laughing while finn was having more fun than he thinks he'd ever had.

by the time they finished dancing, they had ordered a pizza and sat out on the balcony eating it in the middle of the night. they were a few hours late to watching the sunset but they didn't mind watching the stars shine in contrast to the dark sky and the lights shining out of the thousands of buildings scattered across the city.

y/n would be taking such big bites, her mouth so full she could barely chew. finn thought it was such a gorgeous sight to see her eat in the middle of the night, the light of the moon lighting up her face.

this is something finn could never get enough of and, if he could, he would stay in this moment forever. it's friday and he was deeply in love with the girl sat beside him.

they both sat in comfortable silence as they watched the stars glimmer above them.

"i love you, my darling." finn said, turning to look at her in the eyes.

"i love you too, my dear." y/n responded, leaning in to give him a kiss.

they both sat there and enjoyed the nostalgia of the moment, wanting to stay there for the rest of their lives.
