" I'm going to check on Gigi and then I'll go make breakfast." Dae Dae informed Lani, and she nodded her head.
When he looked inside of her room she was knocked out , so he headed downstairs. As he was taking out the pots his phone began ringing.
" Hello." he answered.
" Hey Dae. Is Lani with you ?" Leah said, frantically.
" Yea, she's upstairs. Why something happened ?" Dae Dae wondered.
" She's not answering her phone. Can you please bring her the phone?" Leah said.
" Yea." he answered,walking up the stairs.
" Bae your mom wants to talk to you." he said, handing Lani the phone.
" Hi mommy." Lani said, happily.
As the conversation went on Dae Dae could see Lani's whole mood changed, and it concerned him.
" No, this has to be a joke. Mama no." Lani said, tears now falling down her face. He quickly moved to her side rubbing her back. But as the conversation continued more tears fell and she began hyperventilating.
" Calm down baby, breathe." he said, trying to comfort her but she only cried harder.
" She's gone." Lani cried, as she sat the phone on the bed.
" Who?" he wondered.
" My Gigi, they found her dead in her house this morning."Lani cried.
He pulled her into his lap trying to comfort her as best as possible. She continued to cry into his chest until she eventually fell asleep.
He heard Gigi calling her name so he gently laid Lani on the bed and went to go check on Gigi.
" Hi dada." Gigi waved, happily. " Where mama ?" she asked, head tilted.
" She's sleeping." he answered, as she got out of her bed.
" Play princess ?" she asked. He didn't even get a chance to answer because Gigi immediately put the tiara on his head.

" Hey you guys." Lani said, entering the play room.
" Hi mama." Gigi waved.
" Hey my pretty girl." Lani said, giving her a hug and kiss.
" You feeling better ?" Dae Dae asked, pulling her into his lap.
"A little bit, I'll be fine though. She's in a much better place now." she said, laying her head on his shoulder.
" I just wish she didn't have to go out like that. My mom said my nanny found her this morning in her house gone. Apparently she's been dead since last night. I just feel like nobody should have to leave this world alone. I'm glad I got to call and talk to her last night though." Lani said.
" At least she left this world knowing that she was loved. That's what matters most." Dae Dae said, and she smiled.
Lani and Dae Dae played with Gigi in her playroom for about 30 minutes until they started getting ready to head to her Mimi's house.
