Kelani Brewster
---------------------------------------------

" Bug where you want this at ?" Lani's dad, Benji asked. They were now decorating her freshmen dorm room and he was wondering where she wanted her hair products.

" Umm can you put it in the bathroom please." Lani responded , and he nodded his head.

" Why can't Lani just go to online college at home. This is too much work." an 9 year old Ace, huffed.

" You're just saying that because you don't want me to leave. If that's the case then just say that." Lani chuckled. Ace loved his sister a lot more than he would've like to admit.

" Oh please." Ace  responded, slightly rolling his eyes.

Royal Brooks
——————————

They were putting more of the stuff until they heard a key turn in the lock.

" Hey family." Morgan said, strolling through the door. Morgan was Royal's long time best friend who happened to double as her roommate.

" Girl you scared us." Royal said, going to giver a hug.

" You are such a liar you told me that you weren't even on this floor." Royal said. When they first got their housing arrangements Morgan assured Royal that she was two floors below her.

" Wouldn't be a surprise if I told you, now would it ?" she said, beginning to greet the rest of the Brooks family.

Once Morgan got settle they finished up decorating the room and making it just how they wanted , with the help of Danielle of course.

" Is Lani here yet ?" Danielle asked.

" Yea she told me to come whenever we finish up, so I guess we can go now." Royal shrugged. Morgan's mother and brother kissed her goodbye and then they headed to Lani's room which was down the hall.

When they knocked on the door they were greeted by Lani's Mom, Leah.

" Hey auntie." both Royal and Morgan said.

" Aww my look at my lil college nieces." Leah cooed.

" Auntie please." Royal laughed. They all walked into the room making sure to greet everyone in the room. Once everyone said their hello's they helped Lani with the final touches of her room.

" Wait, Lani where's your roommate ?" Morgan wondered.

" I have one , but I don't think she's coming till like the beginning of the season or something like that. So y'all know what that means." Lani winked.

" Kelani Reign Brewster, try it." Benji said.

" Daddy you don't even know what I'm talking about." Lani laughed, causing her father to mug her.

" Dang I remember when I went here, now my babies are going here." Danielle pouted.

" Mama wasn't that like a long time ago." Saire exaggerated, making sure to drag out long.

" Saire get the hell out of my face. Matter of a fact keep playing with me and I'm gone leave you here with your sister." Danielle responded, pushing his head to the side. Making the rest of the room burst into laughter.

" That's why Amir my favorite twin anyway, because he know how to keep his mouth closed." Danielle added, pulling Amir close to her.

A few hours had passed it was the time everyone dreaded, saying goodbye. To give Lani and her parents privacy they decided upon going back to Royal and Morgans room.

The first ones to say goodbye to Royal were the twins. Saire tried to look tough on the outside but deep down he was truly going to miss his big sister more than he would've like to admit. Amir on the hand cried, and hard.

" Mir it's ok bubby. I'm going to come visit you sometimes and then you guys can call me whenever. And I pinky promise I won't forget." Royal said, giving him a tight hug. For some reason Amir was afraid that since she'd be so far away and gone for such a long amount of time that she'd forget about her family and him specifically.

" I love you." he responded.

" I love you too bubby." she responded, pulling Saire into the hug.

" Can y'all hurry up so I can hug my sister ?"Sarai said, attempting to push them out of the way.

" She was our sister first." Amir and Saire said squeezing her tighter.

" Ok but she loves me more than both of y'all combined." Sarai added.

" Why the hell do y'all always have to argue? Can't never go a day without y'all 3 arguing." Marcus shook his head.

" They started it." she stated it, Sarai said pointing at the twins.

" Actually you started it." Saire stated.

" Y'all wasting my time. Back up from my daughter so I can tell her bye." Marcus said , pushing all 3 of the kids out of the way.

" I love you princess." he said, rocking her as they hugged.

" I love you too daddy." she responded.

" Remember what you came up here for. Don't let no lil boys or lil girls get in the way of you getting your degree. If you need anything , you know who to call."he said, giving her a kiss on the forehead.

" Daddy I'm sure I'll be fine." Royal lightly chuckled.

" I'm sure you will." he said, pulling away from her. As soon as her mom got up to hug her she instantly felt tears fall from her eyes.

" Mommy stop your going to make me cry." Royal said.

" I can't help it my first born child is in college. You the one who helped shape me into who I am. I love you so much princess. Make sure to always true to yourself." she said, nearly leaving Royal in tears.

" I love you more mommy." Royal responded. They had one last group hug and then they left.

" Bitch were really in college." Royal said, plopping on her bed.

" This don't even seem real to me. Like I remember when we were in like 3rd grade." Morgan laughed.

" Who is that knocking on the door like that ?" Morgan asked, getting up to check the door. Once she opened Lani was standing at the door.

" Girl why is you banging on the door like you don't have no sense?" Royal said.

" Cause I wasn't trying too be holding this shit all day. You're welcome by the way." Lani said, handing them both a Chick-Fil-A milkshake.

" Thanks cousin." Royal cheesed, poking the straw into the cup.

" So y'all know how I'm in a lot of these lil Clark Atlanta group chats or whatever. So it's a party next Saturday to kick off the semester and y'all know I have to go." Morgan said.

" I'm down." Lani said.

" I'm down too." Royal added.

" We going to our first college party." Morgan danced.

" I hope it's some fine niggas out. This being single is starting to get depressing." Lani said.

" Forget the niggas I'm trying to see some girls." Morgan said.

" Oh trust you didn't have to tell us that, we already knew." Lani laughed.
